  • Great vids as ever Andy... I mean it's actually possible to play songs, tunes & stuff on the guitar, not just weedly-weedly-weedly-wah-wah (distortion & volume on 11 of course)?

  • @dimlocator44 Yeah. weedly-weedly sucks ;)

  • Andy lives by the river

  • JEFF BUCKLEY!

  • These pedals are still in production, correct?

  • jeff buckley nice

  • 4:40 such a goooood tone and sweet sustain on that last one

  • nooooooooooooooo why must it be discontinued?

  • Gee .. what a demo. Went way beyooooond a demo.

Great product , sensational showcasing .. Buckley, 10 Years Gone, London's Calling, Cheap Trick .. I'm still grinning.

I hope Malekko send Andy a card on his Birthday .. ;)

  • andy do you have a band i want to know . cheap trick buckley zeppelin damn you rule

  • Scuse me a second while I go put on some Jeff Buckley.

  • are these gonna be available again? please they sound amazing!

  • hey man Ive really been looking for a good reverb pedal and Im having trouble deciding. I wanted to get the spring chicken but the only one I can find on the internet is 300 dollars. Ive been seriously considering the chicklet. Im in a funk band if that helps. can u recommend the best reverb?

  • Could somebody please tell me what song that is at 1:48? Thank you

  • @Stinkmaestro So Real by the late great Jeff Buckley (RIP) from his must own album Grace.

  • every one of your covers is spot on for tone and playing! you rule!

  • I just bought one on PGS and then they immediately went back out of stock. I think they found mine in the stockroom forgotten about or something...

  • gearmanndude has the coily cable jokes and funny jack black voice but his audio quality is lacking, i really appreciate how much effort PGS has put into making their demos as 'lifelike' as possible.

  • Nice Jeff Buckley, Andy. You made me want to learn this tune.

  • i love you andy for playing Jeff Buckley

  • this or the tonebug for classic stuff?

  • Retired too soon!

  • LONDON CALLING SOUNDS GREAAAAAAAAAAAAATTT!

  • Bought...now...from proguitarshop, great price :D

Can't' wait to have this pink pedal @ Home :D

  • How long does the flavor last?

  • That song at 1:50 is on the tip of my tongue but I can't remember, just remember I loved it. I think it was on a boarding video. Does anyone else know? Thanks

  • @intercept77 Hope you can remember :D Great tune :D

  • @intercept77 it's 'So Real' by Jeff Buckley

  • WOW LOVE IT!!!! What song do you play at 1.50??? superb!

    Thank you!

  • You had me at "So Real"

  • Nice demo,

But i wonder am i the only one having this annoying klick/pop when switching on the pedal ?

And at 4:08 you mention something with bypassing the pedal and get such a sweet sound how is that done ?

    Thanks

  • jeff buckley *.*

  • beautiful demo, loved the Led Zeppelin part in there =) def gonna buy one if my future amp doesn't have a good spring reveb

  • Can someone please tell me how the high and low note heard from 0:43-0:54 was done?

  • @TheEchomaker Volume swell

  • @ItsA6StringThing ahhh thanks man

  • @TheEchomaker volume swells using the volume knob on the guitar.

  • Does this sounds like a delay to anyone else? I hear quick repeats when a chord rings out rather than smooth reverberation.

  • what are you playing at 1:48

  • This sounds great, but doesn't seem to sound exactly like the spring chicken. It's hard to tell with different demos/moods and dwell settings though! :)

Does Andy think they sound identical? Or are there subtle differences?

  • damn man, the way you play on these videos makes it hard not to want everyone of the pedals you demo...

  • Andy, how do you constantly pick the perfect songs to demonstrate each pedal? So Real was an inspired choice.

  • i can't choose.. you played So Real with this one and Talk Show Host with the tonebug reverb.. =)

i need a small warm room reverb sound for a new song. what would you recommend mr. andy?

malekko chicklet - trex tonebug reverb - trex roommate

can someone tell me which one i should go for?

  • @room16music: I got the EHX nano Holy Grail Reverb after watching a ProGuitarshopDemos video and I am extremely satisfied with it.

  • as if you played 10 years gone.....

  • i watched this video in february and bought this pedal. i was disappointed by the super loud pop when you engage it. then there is this slap back super short delay with too many repeats. imagine 10 ping pong balls dropped from low hight bouncing for an hour, that's what it sounds like. you can't get rid of it. you can't really hear all this in this video. I am out of the country right now but when I come back I will be contacting Malekko to see if my unit is defective.

  • man, when you played So Real.. Sold me on this pedal.

    Cheers.

  • that jeff buckley rsong was played to perfection...im gonna get me one of these

  • I don't know if i commented before but your reviews are really great. you're the exact opposite of the tone king(that's a good thing).

  • great vid, good explanations. keep it up guys

  • wow the end playing with the zep ... amazing.

  • Clash <3

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos will the Chicklet self-oscillate with the Dwell knob maxed the same way the Spring Chicken does?

  • @hbbguitarist It does toward the end of the clash stuff.

  • God, such beautiful playing!

  • the adapter is a normal one? or is it rare like the Electro Harmonix`s ones¿?

  • So Real - Jeff Buckley, sick riff! Looks like a cool pedal!

  • Are you using gain in the beginning of the demo? I have a holy stain right now for reverb and it just sounds too dirty, I want a very clean nice reverb, any suggestions?

  • When I heard the pedal demoed I thought it was great. But when I got it, it was just too noisy no matter what you did. You'll have to tried it out before buying!

  • I just wanted to agree with bloody sunday and congratulate andy on his reviews they are just awesome and his playing is even more awesome. I'v also been following this channel since early on. On the downside my girlfriend cant stand you as when she hears your voice she knows i'm being a guitar geek again.

  • first song is london calling by the clash for those who dont know

  • is this true bypass ?

  • did you put it in the amp's loop? or in front? CHEERS ANDY ¡¡¡¡

  • Just got mine in yesterday. Amazing tone, but I was really shocked that it was so much smaller than I thought it was going to be!

  • Andy, I love your playing and your pedal demos! What is the overdrive you use for the Cheap Trick "I Want You To Want Me" riffs at 2:44?

  • That was the Rockbox Boiling Point on the "Plexi" mode. Thanks!

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos

    How did you do that?!!

    From 0:40 - 0:52

You made some cool, creepy noise

  • Nice Jeff Buckley sound at 1:50 ! Anyone know what the name of the song is? Has me stumped.

  • @timdunford

    So Real. Pretty convincing rendition...

  • maybe "So Real" by Jeff Buckley

  • gearmanndude are you watching?

  • haha!

  • @gandlprs gearmanndude is an amateur, gets free stuff. Andy is a pro, gets money to do this. People still listen to the poor quality of gearmanndude because: 1- They didn't watch PGS videos, 2 - They still think he's Jack Black, 3 - They think he's funny (sometimes I guess he is).

    Andy is the Best!

  • @Kazverb Gearmanndude's not an amateur. He builds amazing pedals and plays in an amazing band. His job is to demonstrate the gear for you, and that's what he does, just like Andy.

  • Opuses?

Should that not be opi? haha!

Nice demo, I have GAS again!!

  • where can you buy an Ekko 616?

Everywhere I look it seems to be sold out.

  • Sounds like a 60's horror sci-fi movie. =)

  • anyone know the song at 3:44 its got me stumped :( although i know i know it

this pedal is amazing! I'm gonna stick my order in this week i think may even go for the ekko 616 aswell .. sell the old dd-6

  • Led Zeppelin - Ten Years Gone

    Comes off Physical Graffiti.

    Rock on,

    -TC4L

  • Jeff Buckley! So Real

    :)

  • Just got mine today from you guys, this is the cutest pedal I've ever seen. I knew it was small, but it is downright tiny. Pink, and it has sparkles. I haven't shown it to my daughter yet, but I'm sure she'll love it.

  • jeff buckley, yesss.

  • i love the sound, considering one of these, but if it's already digital you might as well give me a reverse, a hall, a modulated, etc on there

  • The CLASH!! :D

  • You guys got me sold on this one. This is gonna be my first PGS purchase for sure! What an excellent sounding pedal! Great playing too Andy!

  • Thank you!

  • :) ten years gone.

    great music andy

  • jeff buckley?

  • This is probably my favorite demo from PGS. Great job, guys.

  • Andy, what amp were you playing through? Sounds amazing!

  • My guess is PGS's trusty Deluxe Reverb Reissue, though I think that might've been a Bassman in some of those intro shots after Andy PWNED London Calling + Whalesongs ;)

  • great demo. i want it but i require stereo :(

  • @veryperson Get two!

  • what amp was used in this demo??

  • Ok, I believe Andy's touch on the guitar, his technique, his style, his tone has reached a peak. I've followed PGS's channel ever since they only had 5 videos, and I believe this is the top. Period. Congratulations. :-)

Oh, and excellent demo of an excellent pedal!

  • Thanks, I really appreciate the compliment and for sticking with us!

    -Andy

  • You playing so real just sold me this. That is the exact reverb I am looking for.

    DO WANT.

  • help me!

Which song is andy playing at 3:43?

  • Led Zep - Ten Years Gone. Displayed to perfection as well. Not a bad pedal and I reckon pretty good value.

  • Nice, a few months after I bought my Holy Grail. Oh well haha.

  • LOVE that he plays songs that you instantly recognize, no dumb shredding

  • @RaymondJRiveraGuitar Just what I was thinking!

  • @RaymondJRiveraGuitar Exactly, so you know what you're getting, even if you play rhythm!

  • is this pedal digital or analog?

  • it´s kind of hard to put a real spring in a tiny box.. so digital..

  • analog! :)

  • so real sounds so good on this pedal i think i may buy it just for that demonstration

  • PERFECT TONE FOR LONDON CALLING. what amp/overdrive?

  • Delicious looking pedal. I want to chew it up.

  • London Calling! (8)

  • London Calling!!

You have my everlasting respect Andy! (If you didn't have it already :P)

  • YEAH ! London Calling

  • I want this pedal just to play So Real!!!

    haha

  • Not in the market for a reverb pedal, but if I was this one would be up there with the best to check out! Great sound from such a little box.

  • Is it true bypass?

  • High quality buffered bypass. The "tails" function is not possible with true bypass.

  • I see, thanks so much!

  • hmm, i think the regular chicken sounded better imho

  • That is an amazing sounding reverb pedal. I also like the fact it is fairly affordable.

  • So Real!!!

  • so no more spring chicken eh

  • What's the difference between this one and the Spring Chicken?

  • andy you seem to play better and seem more confident (even when just doing voice over descriptions) than ever before. plus ten years gone is my fav zepplin song and you nailed it! rock on!

  • oh ... oh, how i want one.

  • yea.. jeff buckley!

  • Never thought I'd hear "So Real" by Buckley done in a review!

  • Wow, the Ten Years Gone piece song me on the pedal !!!!

  • So Real!!!! exstacy!!!!!

  • I LIVE BY THE RIVER!!!

  • and after this won't you give me a smile!

  • wow, nice reverb

  • Sure, when you don't compare it to any high-end reverbs.

  • Yep. Nothing compares to the Fender '63 Outboard Tube Reverb. They're $650, but worth every penny.

  • well, obviously!

  • LONDON IS CALLING LONDON IS CALLING!~

  • Really fantastic pedal! very natural sounds...

And that Zeppelin piece sounded outstanding!

  • SOOOO REALLLL!!!!!! yes, love hearing some buckley

  • It looks delicious. Sounds yummy too.

  • Looks like an eraser

  • This is a nice sounding reverb!

  • Comment removed

  • The most crazy about this channel is how good Andy is. Great taste when it comes to choosing a riff, pretty impressive technique and very creative ways of using the effect. If Andy's got a band, I'd like to hear that !

  • He's hands down the best youtube reviewer because of his to the point way he handles everything. at least he doesn't play smells like teen spirit over everything.

  • i hate that too...i don't even like the song

  • Have to get one for my Fender tube head since the reverb tank went south.

  • I have my own reverb. It is better.

  • I feel dumb for asking this but what is the first song after he talks about the pedal, I know I have heard it a thousand times before.

  • @Penguin806 Don't remember the title, but it's a Jeff Buckley song off of the Grace record...

  • @Penguin806 Im pretty sure that its london calling by the clash. Joe Strummer is the man!

  • Nice...

  • Ten Years Gone baby!

  • HELL YA!!!

  • Jeff buckley ,great tune for this pedal yea!!!

  • @edadmartin yea couldnt agree more! the clash-esque tune at the beginning and the jeff buckley tune (so real?) sounded great, because they play with the space between notes and let the effect ring out.

  • aww... 2 bad i didnt get the first comment but this is total sex

  • Crazy!
