Just to clear things up a Duramax is 6.6 L and it will do circles around any Detroit diesel ever built. Don't get me wrong great looking truck, and sounds excellent!!!

a two popper diesel, uses a blower to compress the incoming air.. and to get rid of exhaust air quickly. without it the compression ratios needed to run... would be hard to sustain.
