Male:Male chicks wings are together and there's no slit in the downwards middle.

Female:Female chicks wing looks like a male chick's wing except it looks like a pair of siccors cut a slit in the downwards middle of the male chicks wing.

Yeah, they did quite a good job of covering this up a bit. I believe they just kill off all the males, then they de-beak the females (by compressing it with hot metal) and put them into undersized cages.
