This would have been the BEST opening, they looked like young adults, instead of non working people in their 20's , living in NYC( and we know how cheap the City is ) drinking coffee and talking smak and never seeing ANY other race of people ( and we all know that ONLY yuppies live in NY) in looking back this shows that we baby boomers truly were the ME gen., one of the top shows had non working people with all the toys they wanted- where did they get their money ? Mommy and Daddy?????? Plezzz.

ok, yes they did have other races featured on the show. yes they did work. no, they did not have all the toys they wanted. several times they showed the friends struggling with money or at their careers. yes, they were at central perk a lot, but that was the whole show! i don't understand why people have something bad to say about everything...

You know, a little hile back everyone said this was fake. I believed them. Now I'm looking at it again and I have to say... If it was fake it would've been made damn good... Videotaping-lines and everything... This can't be made by some easy video-editting software...
I actually believe it's real now. So does Wikipedia, it allready says it is real, so... By the way, after the intro you see the episode start in some strange way. I wish the complete ep in THIS edit was on YT so we could see it.

IMO the opening and song fits the show for when it first started, but that was in the early 90's. I do like I'll be there soo much better, but still it does kinda fit for a show in the early 90's.

GACK! Sorry, I almost gagged on the massive amount of corny.
I love the other opening, imagine how horrible the show would even be like if it started out like this. My opinion is that the opening reflects the mood of the entire show, so this opening would be, urgh, I don't even want to think about it.

I really wouldn't believe if somebody was telling me a show couldnt be as successful as with a GOOD intro- but when I saw that I totally believe it now; with that intro FRIENDS didn't last for 10 years- never :D
