  • Barbas aasoo aa jaate lata ji u r gr8

  • having tears in my eyes while watching this song

  • i must have listened to this song the zillionth time today

  • female version is gud but i felt male version of this song even more gud. female vesion looks quite straight here but look at rafi sahab's rendition of same song, its really amazing in male version as i felt.

  • जब भी इस गीत को सुनता हूं,बचपन सामने आ जाता है.मासूम बचपन जो कि सुख सुविधाओं से वाकिफ़ नहीं,कैसे अपना जीवन व्यतीत करता है.

  • I wish they still sung songs like these

with meaning and enough to bring tears to your eyes

  • beautifully sung by lata but Rafi sahabs version was even more beautiful

  • Very beautiful song...excellent voice..love you Lataji!!! Indeed its a perfect lori to listen before going to sleep.

  • My mother use to sing this song to me at bedtime!!! Thank you for posting

  • this movie is so good. and very sad too. i love it. old but is gold.

  • Great song indeed.

  • bohot achay, bohot kamal !

  • Let us not compare Rafiji and Lataji. Both songs required a different adaptation per the situation in the movie and both singers excelled in their rendition. It is outright silly to be saying one is better than the other. Both Lataji and Rafi were required to sing the same song as solos and they did a superb job. The title song of Mere Mehboob is one example. Teri Aankhon Ke Siwa from Chirag is another example

  • Rafi sahib was a billion times ahead of Lata

  • Excellent lori song. But sadly-How Ridiculous to tag this video with-"One case of the few tandem songs where female is better than male". Please listen to Rafi sahabs rendition of this song....he exceeds Lata by miles, in emotion, sur and melody

  • beautiful..lovely song...lataji 's voice is like soft soft breeze..she is PERFECT! and sings every letter every word out...LONG LIVE LATAJI ..WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH! MUUUUAH.

  • Amazing Voice and excellent movie.......Lata Ji........simply superb....... No one on this earth can think of matching with Lataji's voice....

  • One of Lata's best ever songs but you will never find this song listed among any of th best songs' list. The reason being that this is a tandem song and onfortunately, in our country, it is always the male version that gets more attention.

  • Dear aramuskguy, u r right, male version gets more attention, But Lata Ji is Godess of Vioce, So no voice either male or female is close to it, anybody would pay any aatention or not BUT no voice on earth Can Compared with Lataji, If there is any mother Saravati Alive she is Lata

  • In Tamil this song was known as 'Kagitha Odam"

i feel very sad when i see this video. So sad to see lil kids suffering. Thats something i cannot stand.

  • v emotional and beautiful lyrics and composition and excellent rendition by lata ji

  • I saw the movie when I was 9 years of age in 1964.After that I saw it today, It has brought old haunting memories, after so many years I listened to this very melodious song sung by Lataji, picturised & directed by the director so effectively, acted so greatly by these child artists, especially Baby Farida looks like angel god ,no words to explain.

  • Baby Farida as in Farida Jalal?

  • A few of todays actors and actresses could take lessons from these kids in acting. Interpretative expression of song is great here.

  • I have been searching for this song a long long time. Bless you for making it available ...tg.

  • OMG :(

    Simply Beautiful

  • its touching song, where have gone the people whowrote , composed and ssung the song like this one,

  • one of the best songs with the lyrics

  • most emotional song i have for a long time

  • @gajindoc:hi doc.....am really touched by ur life....it is sumtimes that life fucks us.....and still leaves sumbody in the form of god, in ur case ur elder sister....hats off to her....she is really god....i too have an elder sis...she loves me n my brother very much.....but tell me what now???where is ur sis???after so much of hardships she has been thru are u takin care of her now???i hope u are.....

god bless u and ur sis n ur other bros n sis...

  • one of my fav's

  • A GRT SONG BY THE QUEEN OF MELODY

  • to GAIJINDOC, this is very true, there are heroes such as your sister but some people fail to see them. Always, bow at her godly feet, because she has come in the form of BHAJAN to help you.

  • Superb song superb singer...Rafi version was also magic..excellent lyrics shame they don't write or sing songs like these anymore.

  • The tears flow uncontrollably listening to this song as I remember the efforts by my elder to sister to take care of 3 siblings after the death of my mom from tubercolosis and after our family went into bankruptcy. When my father's business failed he descended he desended into a vicious cycle of alcohol abuse. She was responsible for everything I am today and will always be my hero. My success as a renowned vascular surgeon is all due to her and I will be constantly indebted to her.

  • that is so sad.

  • Very touching...God is watching out for you and yours. Tragedies sometimes bring out the best in humans and bring them closer. In olden days, movies depicting reality and social themes brought people together. It is a sad plight today. Best.

  • nice lorii brought back memories

  • best old song . i love it .
