You need to strafe but sort of into the wall so that you are barely moving. Then you change weapons and "warp" to the top.

i know he has save states and slow motion.. but even with all that I doubt I could do anything even close to being as good, dunno how tas guys do it but I hope they never stop cause it is so fun to watch!
