Yeah that would be great. Unfortunetely it's not that nice a city in many parts. There are many dangerous areas especailly around the city centre.

Oh I see... that's not good. Our city has risky areas too, especially at night, but generally it is safe, especially when you have a local companion.

Yeah travelling the streets with someone with you is always a good idea. I suppose every big area is going to have dangerous areas with crime and drugs.

Very true. We used to have that in our city (we still have but becoming rare), it's because the government or some community vigilante groups are becoming more notorious or "proactive" in preventing crimes. They "summary kill" people with strong links to drugs and drug trafficking (like ex-convicts, etc) but they sometimes falsely kill or misidentify some targets and knocks innocent people. What they are doing, obviously, is also a crime. Guess we all have fair share of bad eggs.

They kill them? That's crazy. We don't have any vigilante groups here killing criminals.

Not really all of them. Those vigilante groups' identities are concealed. However, it makes us wonder as ordinary citizens why the police wasn't able to catch any of them or draw a lead/conclusion that would pinpoint someone. So everyone is suspecting the local government must have some sort of coordination with them. Because of this reality, criminals flee from our strict city.

The general rule is that If you don't do anything wrong, nothing bad is going to happen -- most people here are friendly, anyway. Foreign visitors here are welcome warmly, treasured and highly valued/respected.

I suppose it has made an impact on crime anyway which is good. It's just kind of scary.

Yup, we call it steel-fisted local government. Anyway, this is only applicable in my city. Other cities here have different laws and more lax rules. Anyway, our city government is being investigated by our national Human Rights Commission because summary killing is an inhumane way to curb crimes, even though it appears somehow effective.
