I've cracked and had people crack when playing them, especially when I have a sliver of health and go into "zen mode" and the Guile theme turns on (regardless of what char I play). I get a good read on a couple of their moves and then they get desperateI win. I think we all love that.

I'm not reading all the post so forgive me if someone mentioned it but you can't be thrown out of your first few frames of your backdash i believe this is with all characters.

@GoGoGadgetLAG The frames are different for every character though, and I believe it's not just being thrown, but you've got invincibility the first few frames.

On top of that, each character's backdashes have different numbers of these invincibility frames. I believe Zangief has one of the most invincibile backdashes, and Makoto has one of the worst (if not worst) just for a point of reference.

Ex: You've seen Zangief dodge that Abel U2, as well as sweeps. Makoto can't backdash Ryu's U2

I always knew you could back dash his ultra, it's because he is OTG. Abels Breathless can't get you if your in the air in any way your feet must be touching the ground. I think some characters can't do it but characters like Chun Li or Rose can do it with no problem.

1. Abel's TT is throw invincible but not hit invincible. So Abel's TT beats all throw ultras and all command grabs if timed right. Abel's EX TT is invincible to hits but not throws. Gief got thrown out of EX SPD. Not only does that lose to TT, it loses to regular throw as well.

2. Back dashing Abel's Ultra works because Gief is airborne with invincibility frames. If you mash on back dash Abel has to time his Ultra to hit you as soon as you land, which is pretty hard to do.

Abel's tornado through isn't "ultra high priority" or anything, for all you nubs reading the comments. It's just invincible to throws. Abel can only grab zangief out of his ultra if he does the grab before or during the frame zangief finishes the ultra motion. If you see the super freeze, it's already too late. Abel's EX Tornado is throwable but attack invincible, and his roll is throwable, so don't go thinking you should never throw abel. Abel wants you to think that.

Even Mike Ross just said Abel's throws are high priority. Of course, I agree with your assessment and there are technical explanations everywhere. I just don't get why people can't ever use the word priority like it's some dirty word.

on the topic of cracking it can happen to anyone doing anything competitive whether it be hockey, rugby, soccer, football, etc. my best tip to anyone is to stay relaxed and cool throughout the whole thing and you wont have any problems, get rid of those butterflies before you even start to play
