I agree. I blame the coaching. When Jeff Bowden was Coordinator, we never could get consistent play from our QB's. Had Jimbo Fisher or former Offensive Coordinator Mark Richt worked with Chris, I think he would've had a better career. Fisher helped JaMarcus Russell become a good College QB. Two of Rix's best games came against The Gators!
I still remember the fight that broke out after this game. This game was a sham, but the last six years of pure domination have made up for it. To be honest, this series has lost it's bite. I'd actually be in favor of canceling it altogether and perhaps bringing back scUM or getting out there and playing Penn State or Oregon. This game is just boring now.

Yes, the last few years have been boring because UF has completely owned FSU. I'm an FSU alum so that hurts to say, but it's the truth.
Balance will be restored and soon enough we'll have competitive games again. It's just the way college football is, especially in Florida.
@Wdntkwb1 Miami/FSU has become the competitive rivalry in Florida. Unfortunately they aren't top 5 teams but the games are still awesome. In a few years the UF/FSU rivalry will get back to being one of the best in football. Or at least we can hope.

the series record is 32-19-2 with florida in the lead and the score since the beginning of the series is 1273-927. fsu was good at one point, but now they are pretty bad. Its just the same for florida though, they were bad until spurrier came in the 90's and now with urban meyer and tim tebow, we dominate! fsu's time will come again, but it won't come as long as bowden's around. Florida has won by blow out 4 times against fsu as well. all of this proves florida is better. go gators!
