Our sins were all forgiven on the cross before we were born. Yes, we should always ask for forgiveness from our sins but if you believe that Christ is Your Salvation, you won't be judged in heaven for your sins. You will only be rewarded for the deeds you've done on earth. Now in the O.T. before Christ gave His life, it was the practice to sacrifice an animal for your sins. So I believe suicide is a different situation today.

Jesus was under the old covenant when he was on earth and many times he amplified the law. The purpose of the law is to show us that we can't do it. He also introduced us to the new covenant but anytime he speaks about doing right in order to receive from God, he's preaching the old covenant of law. We are no longer under law but under grace!

We don't really know what's going on in a persons heart. The bible is clear about those who have the fruit of the spirit and those whom practice in the flesh. . .

@susideguy It is incorrect to assume Christians are incapable of logic. I personally do not blindly believe Christ was the Messiah. I have done countless hours of research outside the Bible and know without a doubt that he is who he said he was. Not to mention I can feel him in every aspect of my life. GOD IS GOOD man...you should meet him!

obviously this was not true, but his mind could not understand that. How can you blame someone who has a disease that they did not choose or heal from? I am not saying suicides do not go to hell, I'm just saying I don't believe they should over any other sinner.

some of these drugs make it worse and push you into a deeper, sometimes unbearable, state of depression. So when someone who is bi-polar or has depression takes their life, it really is not fair to judge them. Trust me, people who are bi-polar and depressed dont want to kill themselves, they just dont have a choice sometimes. And, at lease when your bi-polar, it is not a selfish act. My uncle who was bi-polar took his life because he truly felt his family would be better off without him

The thing most people do not understand about suicide is that there are many factors that go into it that the person cannot understand. If you are depressed or have bi-polar it is not just a state of sadness, it is a disease, just like cancer, or down syndrome. You cannot control how what state your mind goes into because you have a chemical imbalance. Another factor is medication. When you are being treated for a depression they test drugs til they find the right one. Some of these drugs

I agree with what Craig is saying, but I think the title should be changed to something more like 'what does Craig thing god thinks about suicide'. No one should claim to know exactly what God thinks. Little things like this give people that are against Christianity a place to start cutting someone down.
