Hake is called "merluza" in Spain and it´s considered a luxury dish, its usually fried directly on the grill and served with a few slow cooked sliced potatoes and olive-oil,garlic and fresh parsley.
not a normal fish? Yeah I've never smelled such a disgusting smell than hake guts. I work at a fish plant and we do a lot of hake. In fact I smell like hake right now.
