I have had nightmares! I mean did you know Tony Stark was an alcoholic? And that most of Xmen and Spiderman villains were insane and are serial killers? They're going to change it! you may disagree, they may say that the characters will be unchanged, but it's inevitable that Mickey Mouse will eventually make some sort of cameo and "help" to save the day or some shit like that.
@shadowkirby30089 The saddest thing is that there IS no change so far. Marvel is plunging into mid-90s territory with some of their stories, and I wish Disney would at least have the sense to right the ship and publish stories that will attract new readers.
marvel comics didnt go down in price though. they only said so because they panicked when DC did. i think only two or three are going down but theyre ones that no one wants to read
I think Disney only bought marvel so they can have the franchises, so they can the characters for films, TV, video games, toys where they can make bucketloads of money. It seems like its a long term project because they have to wait until the rights of all their characters from other companies back like spidey from sony. I'm almost certain that Disney don't care about the comics because no one reads comics any more and it is a niche market where you don't make much money.
@iqy92 Sad but true. So...who will save comics? Its up to us! Sign comics out from the library and give them to your friends. Or get the $1.00 ones that DC and Marvel sell every once in a while. Give them away! Turn people back onto comics. We must at least try!
@ComicBookSyndicate Trust me I will never give up on comics. I got my ex girlfriend, my now girlfriend and my mates to get into comics by showing them books like pride of Baghdad and I kill giants. They may not buy superhero comics just indie comic books but I believe these are the best books that can get a new breed of comic books not the '40 year old fan boys' like Darwyn Cooke said.
Also love your shows, you and CCW seem to be the only few comic book sites that talk sense.

@iqy92 That's great to hear. The future of comics is certainly in the hands of the indy graphic novel, not the latest Deadpool spin-off.
And thank you for the kind words about the show.
