Who cares what game is better or if snake is better than other main characters. Any one who played the game from day 1 and im talking the Nintendo "Metal Gear" you will feel the same as me its all about the story and when you finally come to the end battle and this song comes on you literally see your childhood flash before your eyes and you realize this is it.

For me one of the greatest gaming moments of my life period.

@TattooedFox No flashback here for me since 4 was the first one I played but was aware of the others... and it still had a similar sense of closure even without the other games behind it! (Aided by what many say was the bad choice of putting the song credits in the corner. For people like me that was a very good choice!)

And yes, easily one of the better gaming moments ever.

@TattooedFox actually mgs 1 on psx, i hate to say it but barely anyone played metal gear, heck not many people care of it, it shows when hardly any of the games reference those 2. The majority of metal gear solid fans that the nostalgic element of mgs 4 was made for, are the teens who discovered mgs 1 on ps 1, this was created for them.

I plan on playing MGS 3, peacewalker, mg 1 then mg 2 then MGS 1, MGS 2 then MGS 4. should be pretty awesome seeing the whole story in chronological order

He is sent to Islamabad, where he also makes his investigations, then he finds out he Osama was hiding in a small compound north of the city, so he makes an awesome entrance into the compound, then he finds out that the compound was an entrance for an underground huge facility the russians had made in the 80s and Osama had taken it. Then the final fight is Osama controlling a Metal Gear Rex looking thing, which he had stolen from the russians. xD

I never did say that all game characters need to have a personality. If the whole point of Master Chief's character is to make the player feel like he's in the story, why don't you make Master Chief completely silent? Then again, I'm not a fan of this style of immersion. Altough I'm not much of a Nintendo guy, atleast Nintendo characters in a sense show personality in the way that they look and act. Master Chief is just walking space armor that shoots aliens.

@KaiserReich98 I implore you to watch a walkthrough of The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, and watch boss battle videos of Crash TwinSanity, Crash Mind Over Mutant (final boss only) and Crash of the Titans. Spyro and Crash, along with Sonic (again, see the final bosses from Sonic Adventure to Sonic & The Black Knight) and tell me they're not badass. Just because they're kid-friendly and don't have gore, that doesn't mean they aren't fearsome.
