  • I'm up to two miles at a time. Check out Pose Running.

  • Allison I gotta tell you something about this video... I freaking love it. Every time that I am feeling lazy and not wanting to push myself out the door for a run, I watch this video. I get dressed and ready while it's on and almost always make it out for the run. :-) Gotta love it!

  • I would come save you if you fell off a treadmill

  • Hi amarixe! I'm doing the Hal program as well. I just did my first day of it today. And I was wondering what did you do on the run/walk days. I did alternations between 5 minutes of running and 5 minutes of walking. Until I reached the 5k distance.

  • So inspiring!

  • I am motivated to run now! I really need to put some muscle on my legs! xD

  • I've been watching your videos for a while (my fav are nail polish ones) and now that I just signed up for a 5K, I can STILL watch your videos! So great. Thanks!

  • I know this is old, but this was super motivating for me. I had 2 homebirths, one baby was 9lbs 13oz. It was intense and mentally exhausting to continually having to talk myself into that I was able to do it. I want to run a 5K before TTCing another baby. I am doing this for myself. I can apply that same thinking to my training. Thanks so much for sharing. It was really encouraging ;)

  • I'm consideriing joining a 5K marathon as well but I'm quite reluctant as I havent been active for a long time. what was your finish time? I hope I can feel as motivated as you were =)

  • Marry me.

  • I ran my first 5k last July with no running experience or training beforehand. I ran an okay time but this year I'm training with this program, almost done with my first week! :D

  • @foreversarah7 What was your time?

  • What was your time? I ran a 5k and did not really have to train becasue I was already a runner. My time was really good, I got about fifteenth place. The people that beat me where buff men:)

  • id like to know what results you gained wih you body! do you run now alot more im trying to get my cardio exercise better but i find when i breath it all over the place and i feel im breathing from y stomach and not my chest is that normal. i do go the gym 4 days a week for apprx 1hr:30m to 1h:45m i hate runing on treadmil but get board runing on the road also i find living here in the uk the weather is rubbish for runing (wish i lived somewhere sunny and warm hate it here ) :) nice vid x

  • Check out the 5K101 program. It's free on iTunes and facebook.

  • .I signed up for my first 5k in May. Am not a runner at all, and super nervous. Your video really helped! Am going to be starting my training program tomorrow.

    Thanks for your tips!

  • Good for you! This is really motivational, I run track but we only run about all mile at a time because I am a sprinter. This really makes me want to try this though. What type of running shoes do you wear?

Oh ps check out my blog I just made it

    Sharelovesharebeauty.blogspot.com

  • You may want to add a mid-morning snack. How much water do you drink? Good for you!!

  • I ran my first 5k in 28:12. 4 weeks later I ran it in 24:52. 8 weeks after that I was at 21:30

  • I just started about 3 months ago and I am training just for the 5k my goal is to get under 20 minutes. I did my first race thanksgiving morning and I got 23:37 i got 50th place out of 503 but I really want to get under 20 mins some day.

  • Do you have pretty feet? I heard running ruins your feet.

  • potatos are equivalent to junk food.

Past is equivalent to junk food.

Your body can't recognize the difference between a potato and sugar. If you like pasta, eat dream field pasta. It is a slow burnin/ low glycemic index pasta. I work by a diabetic support group and the coordinator turned me on to it. Give it a try. You can tell the difference the first time. No hypos, no sugar high, no insulin spike...one of the best foods I have ever found.

  • How much weight did you lose?

  • Be careful. There is such a thing as running too much per week. You could seriously damage ur knees. I'd check with ur doctor to make sure u haven't hit that point

  • this was so inspirational, im gonna get a calendar like that and write "i can do it to!" :)

    thankyou <3

  • I know this comment is super late! And I know alot of girls on here have already made work out videos, but honestly .. you're video has got me inspired to start getting in shape. :D

  • whats the shortest time you can run a 5k ( my best (timed run) is 36.35ish

  • @ryanvn23764 thats too slow did you walk or run?

  • @omgitzomar both walked and run but 2day in a race i got 35.35.8s im fairly new to this tho.

  • awesome! i just subscribed! you give great advice... or share great advice! also you have a very beautiful glow to you. i just got into running myself, and I LOVE IT!

  • I have this goal of running a hlaf marathon by next year but i have never really run farther than 2 miles in my life. I am severely out of shape and I picked up quite a few pounds lately so I'm starting off with this beginners 5k schedule. My question is since you don't like running on treadmills (i hate them too), what do you do when it's raining outside. I don't have the option of an indoor track, so what would you suggest for those rainy days?

  • wow you don't eat a lot. But this was really helpful. u go girl! :D im training 4 a half marathon 2!!!

  • how do you meassure - do you use a pedometer to measure how far you go? or is it approximate?

  • also! what time did you go running? like did you go in he morning?

  • Im gonna start doing this over the summer but im gonna be running around my neighborhood so im wondering how will i know how far i ran? cause the summer i wanna start running im really skinny tho and cant aford to lose anymore weight so would it be bad for me to run? im 14 and am like 95 pounds, and i cant lose weight or i will be like mega underweight so please help!

  • congratulations! :D

  • I do running too!

  • Huge congratulations! :D Im glad it worked out so well&you enjoy it,you did some great work there!!

I was 1 of those who said they also just started running. I <3 it &now its time to set some kinda goal tho&I googled the plan you showed&Ill see if I can print it out etc& do it like you, itll be even more fun!

But he last 2 weeks Ive had a mild rheumatism attack, every effin joint hurts when I move D: Huge frustration over here!!

As soon as its over Ill be happy 2 start the plan :) xoxo

  • wow.... I'm in awe....

  • good work!! good advice

  • great advice and well said thanks for saying examples! :)

  • \wow, you were talking and all I could focus on was how shiny and healthy your hair is. xD

  • I have the same exact problem with running on a treadmill! It is so annoying.

  • im new to your vids. are you a vegetarian?

  • lol eating a little bit of chocolate helps you to CURB your craving for chocolate? that just makes it worse for me! once i taste it deliciousness i need to have more! lol

  • What kind of ankle brace is that and where did you get it?

  • Yeah, It's a lot easier to put off junk food if your working out on a daily basis because you end up feeling guilty. xD

    Great job though!

I think I'm gonna try that 5K training program that you did, thanks so much (:

  • dayum u look stunning :) XX

  • omg i have started running but i only managed to do a weeks worth of running because i have bad leg pain and i dont know if i should go to the doctor when ever i run or dace or jump or anything like that it only taked a few steps to make the pain come so does anybody know what i can do it is not like a sore muscle it feels like my bone but is probs just the muscles close to my bones i dont know if anybody knows it would be helpfull:)

  • @sarahbabypie if its on your calf/lower leg area and it's on the area of the bone that runs along the outside part of your leg, then it may be shin splints. if its really bad then it probably is shin splints. the other option that i can think of is just soreness and you need to stretch more but i'm more inclined to think shin splints. and theres not that much you can rly do about it as far as i know other than stretch and massage it and put on muscle cream. hope i helped some! :)

  • wow, this is so helpful and motivational! hmm what kinda warmup/warmdown stretches do you do before and after your runs? i'm actually motivated to start running (or just get out of the house and exercise)!!!!

  • @nikieh90 I lost close to 10 pounds!

  • you are awesome girl :) Love your videos!

  • You are so adorable!! I can completely relate to that neat freakyness lol... I'm going to the gym now 3-4 times a week and if for some reason I can't make it one of the days I honestly feel like I'm back to square one or something. I've really enjoyed my routine so far but I'm looking at making some time for running outside as well. I would LOVE to run a marathon someday soon :)

  • Also, I have some knee problems (Experienced quite a bit of pain post runs in the past)... I feel it a bit after rollerblading as well. I'm wondering if anyone else out there has a similar problem and what they've done to ease the pain a little? I might have to get knee braces and ice them like Allison is doing with her ankle... but any other tips are very much appreciated! Thanks

  • I'm going to give this a shot. Thanks for introducing it to me. Oh, and you look absolutely gorgeous in this video! Your hair looks stunning.

  • I'm glad you found a way to help your ankle! You're an inspiration! :-)

  • you are so pretty! stunning girl! :)

  • yer bf shud make an appearance in a video!!

  • U should do a half marathon or a full marathon soon.

  • You are awesome!!

  • Thank you for this video, it is so inspirational. I'm a freshman in high school, so I run the mile about once a week in p.e. I hate it. I always come in at around 10 minutes, and I'm absolutely exhausted. But I really, really want to start taking care of my body and becoming more fit, and I think doing a running program like this would be such a great way to do this. I think I'll start in the summer when I have time to run. Thanks for the help, I'll be using this video as motivation :)

  • what a great video!!! I always want to run by I have old people knees haha

  • Your hair looks totally stunning! Is it because the moroccan oil or something else??? BTW, you inspired me to start running 'cause I run a yard and I die! LOL!

  • @abrillala Thanks! I think it's just the Moroccan Oil :) And good luck with starting running! You won't regret it!

  • Congratulations! Keep it up! Btw, I love your top and makeup in this video :)

  • @Bellabambina123 Me tooooo :)

  • I know you weren't trying to, but did you lose any weight?

  • @jdmoates1 I did! Not a ton, but I dropped close to 10 pounds. The biggest difference I see in my body is muscle tone in my arms and legs.

  • how much did you lose inches or pounds by running so much?

  • @thisgirlyljenn I lost close to 10 pounds!

  • YOU ARE SO PRETTY! I love your videos.

  • wow i ran a 10k for cystic fibrosis friday.

  • @julesinator1 That's awesome! :)

  • your voice kinda always cracks or something when you say hey guys lol

  • how far could you run before you started training? im thinking of running, but i have never had the stamina to even run a lap around a track without being soo out of breath.. im active in sports like tennis and gymnastics so im not completly out of shape, do you have any tips?

  • @SparklesAndGumdrop It took all of my energy to run a mile before I started training. And I was a lot like you, I was a gymnastics, dance, and volleyball girl in high school, so I wasn't completely out of shape, I just was a bad runner. My only tip is to stick with it, because your body actually has to learn the most comfortable, efficient way to run!

  • Keep up your sweetiness

  • im glad you completed the race and got in better shape, but that diet was horrible. almost all of your diet was straight starchy carbs. try to eat more fruits and vegetables that aid with enegry boosts when training, instead of just carbs after carbs.

  • Thank you for this!

  • how do you calculate how far you have run?

  • @EverythingBeauty1 I drive the route in my car measuring the distance.

  • This is so inspirational! I'm going to try to do a 5k in September with my boyfriend :) I'm not even going to try racing him, since he's more of a runner than I am, and he's like 8 inches taller than me haha.

  • Your eye makeup is GORGEOUS? Could you do a tutorial on it or at least list the products used? Thanks! :)

  • *GORGEOUS!....lol excuse the question mark.

  • @caitiebaby891 Thanks! I actually already did one! The eyes are the "Subtle Radiance" tutorial.

  • @amarixe Oh great! Look forward to watching it! Thanks for all the work you put into your channel! :)

  • omg wow.... this seems like such a good idea! I think I'm gonna do it!

  • @amarixe im just wondering if this training had helped you lose weight? cause i was thinking about doing it for a dieting type thing, not to train, but to be on a exercise/diet program to get myself in shape and just be healthy. ? thanks! (:

  • @MandEmest1994 I did end up losing around 10 pounds! It's kind of hard not to when you start running so much. Good luck on your exercise program :)

  • Remember to have a shoe with good support and run on different surfaces like cement, grass, dirt, a track because different surfaces cushion different parts of your legs but hurt some parts more at the same time.

Your face is so peachy and pretty. [:

  • Having a dog really helped me. On those mornings where I just wanted to hit the snooze thinking about Trixie made me get out of bed and get going

  • Wow, it's super impressive that you went from 0 running, to running/walking 6 days a week! I'm doing the couch to 5k now, on week 3, and for me it's a lot easier b/c I'm going from not consistently working out at all, to only doing it 3 days a week. I can't imagine jumping into a 6 day per week program. Good for you! Is there any particular reason you didn't go the couch to 5k route?

    Thanks for this video!!

  • @DameOnTheDash I actually have never heard of Couch to 5k... apparently I've been living under a rock because a lot of people have mentioned it!

  • I am going to do Cross Country next year and we have to do summer practices, I haven't ran in months and in my little town we DONT lose on any sport. We have to run a 250 miles summer. The most that we have to run in a day is about 6 miles but do you have any tips that could help me this summer? PLEASE :)

  • @MaisieLousieDyer I would just focus on staying hydrated... your body cannot function without the proper nutrients inside of it. Water is essential. I would also try sports drinks, like Gatorade or something with electrolytes. Most of all, listen to your body! Running in that heat will be tough, so be sure to take it easy when you need to.

  • What time of day do you normally run?

  • @tiffany6956 Typically evenings, but it really depends on my class/work schedule. Now that it is summer and I'm pretty free, I've been running in the evening while the sun sets.

  • Your cheeks are so glowy and springy here ! :)

what do u have on them ?

  • @beautybudget88 Thanks! It's NYC blushable cream stick in Plaza Pink.

  • Yeah running on a treadmill is hard on the knees

  • Good Luck on you're program!!! My teacher, right now, she's training for a 45 mile marathon!!! 5k to me is resonable but 45k!!! MY TEACHER IS INSANE!! lol she's not insane but u get wat i mean.

  • i live in a really "hill-y" area too, an amazing way to tone and shape your legs for running is going on 2-hr intense bike rides, i've been doing it for about 3 weeks and ive seen an amazing difference!!!! and i had my track meet on friday, and i was running 800m race and i came in first! 1 sec. away from getting 1st from my whole grade (:
