@SuperCd13 length isnt much, wheelbase, concave, mounting, stiffness and weight are more important. Its all up to you whether you want a drop or drop thru, aggressive or more mellow concave, or a stiff board.
I recommend a stiff, aggressive concave, a wheelbase from 26-32 inches, and a drop or drop through board, since you will have a board that isnt all unpredictably flexy, better handling and have more torque for pushing a slide out
@Originalskateboards Won a new pair of trucks (SoCal Caliber) for repping Original S8's in a downhill jam/sliding competition. Everyone was like OMG original trucks ewwww, but I shredded it anyway. :P
i just bought my first long board yesterday and im in love. it wasnt this board but its still amazaing. probably in the near future i'll look into geting this one too <3
Ok, so Iv'e bought 3 boards and they've all snapped one me 400 dollars all gone. I do alot of free style tricks. I weigh about 180 pounds, do you think it will snap on me?
@brittishrabbit well bro if you bough 3 boards and they all together cost you 400 bucks theirs your problem i ride a loaded fat tail 500+ money really counts long boarding is really expensive
i no this video reguards the apex 37 which is a awsome board, but im 220 lbs, own a pintail 43 with a set of s8(200 mm) trucks, wat color springs would be the best for sliding and speed, black, red, or white?
Hey, I am getting the Apex 37, but only the deck. I couldn't find where I could only purchase the deck on your website, so I went to some other longboard sites. The problem with that is that I could not find an option for the flyweight. I weigh around 85 lbs, so I figured the middle weight would be a little too stiff. Could you help me out?
@HMC19931993 you can purchase a complete from our website or over the phone with us. A complete Apex 37 starts at $279. International shipping is $60.
I'm 20 years old and I weigh 120 pounds. I noticed that the apex has a fly, middle, and cruiser weight class. What's the difference from flexy and stiff? What is the cause?
@DFXYXENO the flyweight ranges from 65-170 lbs, the middle weight ranges from 130-250 lbs, and the cruiser weight ranges from 190-260 lbs. You would want to get the flyweight flex. If you went with the middle weight, it would be pretty stiff and may be somewhat difficult for you to maneuver.
@2c0o0l4u yes, shipping goes by weight. If you are international we can fit two boards in one box and for two boards you would only pay $60.. however, with 3 boards international shipping would be $120.
I want to get a longboard that can do a bit of everything. I want to be able to do freeride, cruise around college on the flat, go down some small hills and I have my eye on the Apex 37 because its pretty small and light so easy for me at college, Do you think there is a better board for what I want?
@AnProGamer the Apex 37 sounds like a great board for what you're looking to do, and it's the perfect size for a college campus. It's very versatile, and is meant for cruising, carving, freestyle riding, and some freeriding.
@Originalskateboards Well this summer I am moving to Beaufort SC, and there are NO hills there, I want trucks that allow me to maneuver city streets and people.
@ForeignRelationsSP the Original trucks allow you to make quick, aggressive carves and pump easily on flats. You can also change the resistance level by switching out the springs from the black to the red medium tension, and white heavy tension.
@guitarman1234567891 if you're doing large hills and high speeds then you would be best with a freeride board. If you want the Apex for its durability and for freestyle, then get the Apex 40, which handles higher speeds much better than the Apex 37
@martindesacramento both boards are a ton of fun. The Tan Tien is a bit longer, drop through, and is made out of bamboo, epoxy, and fiberglass. It's a bit more flexible. The Apex 37 is more durable for freestyle riding and will not snap at the neck or bottom out because of the carbon reinforcement bar.
@SuperiorBoards yes! The symmetrical shape and the squared off rails make sliding easier. If you are interested in high speed slides then I recommend the Freeride with rocker concave.
I got this board as soon as i could in Australia and love it so much, but I've come to the point where I want to clean up my bearings for my setup but don't know what bearing lube to purchase and use. Im nowhere near a pro yet but mostly just bomb some nice hills but I'm noticing my wheels are getting slower, so i just want something which will suit.
@sinisaprsa longboarding isnt about anything. longboarding has no rules, no barriers. longboarding is about being who you are and doing what you want. who said that longboarding is specific and has to be bound to certain things. your narrow-minded thinking is the exact opposite of what longboarding is.
@sinisaprsa its called longboard skateboard. of course its about skateboarding. all the props to you if you can do a tre flip on a board that is 37 inches long. that just shows how great skater you really are.
i was wondering if you can pump well on the apex 37 or on original trucks in general since i was told that it does not really work that well due to the special way the trucks react to your movements. is that true?
Hello guys, any update about Original Skate Boards and Brazil? It would be really awesome to have some store around the country, I really like Apex 37, a awesome longboard, however, I can't afford one, because it's way too expensive in here.
Any way that I can get one with a good price in here?
hello im 12 and got my first longboard 2yrs ago and i would like a board with the same shape as this and turns easy and goes fast(im addicted to speed)im 40kgs and 1meter 57 please tell me if this board is good or do i need something else?
@mysterysurfdude I don't know what you're previous board is so I can't tell you if it's very similar or not. However, the Apex 37 is a versatile board that can carve, cruise, slide, handle smaller hills, and is mainly geared for freestyle riding.
@newbielongboarder the Apex 37 is a good all-around board. It's geared toward freestyle riding which is why it has a carbon reinforcement bar, which makes the board very durable. It's also good for some freeriding, or even just cruising and carving. At your height and weight, you would want the middle weight flex. You can either stick with Original trucks and standard springs for a surfy feel, or red springs for a surfy, but stable feel. If you want stiffer trucks, try out Bear Grizzly trucks
@eellpp1997 yes, you would need the cruiser weight and either white heavy tension springs for original trucks, or bushing trucks. However, I suggest checking out the Apex 40, it would be much better for you.
Hey, so I used to longboard until my sector 9 board broke and I haven't had money to buy one, but I'm trying to get back into it this year. And I want to know what board would be the best, to get started again. I'm 5'8 and 120 pounds. Please respond
dear original, i am looking to get this board but i need to figure out a couple things, i weigh about 120 pounds and i like to cruise around and also like to do tricks but i dont know what flezx i should get and the trucks im confused about, please respond. thanks
@WEWEWEWE730 the flyweight flex would be fine for you. It ranges from 65 lbs to 170 lbs, so there's still room to grow. You also don't have to worry about it bottoming out since it has a carbon fiber reinforcement bar.
@gguitarguy2010 you may want to check out either the Freeride with rocker concave of the Apex 40 with double concave if you're interested in down hill and freeriding.
@Originalskateboards I've heard a lot that after a short time cracks form on the sides. Did you guys experience this and is it a serious problem in the long run?
@slowmo179 You can either stick with Original trucks with red or white springs, they're great for sliding. Or, if you plan on riding at higher speeds, then a bushing truck. I personally like Bear trucks a lot. You can keep the standard bushing in them and they're great for sliding and DH. You can also flip the hanger in one direction to make the truck more or less stable.
@stickymavrick the purple wheels are upgrades. They're Orangatang Stimulus 83a wheels. They cost an extra $30. The standard wheels are Kryptonic 70mm and can range in different colors, depending on what the manufacturer sends us.
ok um i want one seriously my freind has one i have o bustin robot im in love with it also i want to get sponserd ille try nd make a vid can u veiw it when im done editing it
@ethanPEC Shipping to Spain costs $60. We aren't responsible for any custom fees that may apply, however, you can get an idea of how much you would spend by going to FedEx's website.
@Danoum001 "Graphic Blem" is a blemish, or scratches on the deck usually caused from being moved around the warehouse. This does not affect the performance of the board and you can save $20
Just got my apex 37 today, spent every last bit of money I have been saving for the past months, it was worth every penny. Honestly best day of my life, new videos and a review on it coming soon. check out my channel. thank you original, your the best<3
Hi i'm 16 yrs... i'm 11 foot, 198 lbs, 1.77m. and i want to ride the Apex 37 but i don't know if that would be the best option... i like the freestyle and do slides...
I am about to purchase my first longboard, an Apex 37. Should I choose Kryptonic wheels or orangatang wheels? Orangatangs is for sliding right? But is that a good choice for a beginner? Could anyone answer me?
Hey Original! I love your videos and soon i'm gonna buy an apex 37:D but when im going to check out there is an option with some springs? i dont know what it is because im new at longboarding:( please answer me...
@MusicRevolution68 there are some dealers that carry our boards. You can email us the location you are staying at and we will be able to tell you if there are any nearby dealers. Otherwise, you can order from our website and have the board shipped to where you are staying.
HELP ME PLEASE! Im trying to get some trucks for an Apex 37 im trying to buy. But i want to slide and carve on the trucks. Which one is better, Original S8 or S10?
@TheACGProduction S8 bro. I have them and they carve super well, and they're easy to slide on. Or get some bushing trucks, they are lighter, but they dont carve as well.
@Originalskateboards im debating getting the tan tien or the apex 37, right now leaning towards the apex :) but i was wondering since the tan tien has kick tails can you still do pop tricks, and tail tricks with the apex. im been doing downhill freeride but i want to get into the crazy stuff, like the top hat, tiger claw, idk. is it also a good trick board i guess...
@theelephanttaco if you want the apex with kick tails then check out the Apex 40! It has kicks and comes in two different concaves so you can freeride, freestyle, and it won't snap at the neck since it's made with carbon!
HELP?!!?!?! I know this sounds stupid but can it still carve well(Apex 37 2011)? I have a S9 bamboo board that carves very well i just dont want to waste money on a board that cant carve and only slide.
hey original i have a question. i have an apex 37 and i just notice recently that i have a small crack in the base plate on my front truck where the wavecam fits in. is this something i need to be concerned about? do i need to get my trucks replaced?
@originalskateboards I'm getting the apex37 but idk what trucks to get for this, I've heard Paris bend n I've heard randals aren't good for slides, n original aren't good for speed. What trucks do the original team use on this board? N which do u recommend
You guys need to hire a sound technician for your videos.

Hey Original!
Just wondering what ''Graphic Blem'' is, Oh and Loving the new Hawaii Session! :)
Daniel,
Danoum001 1 month ago 2
@Danoum001 it means blemish
LittleNeher 1 month ago
@Danoum001 "Graphic Blem" is a blemish, or scratches on the deck usually caused from being moved around the warehouse. This does not affect the performance of the board and you can save $20

@HDBorachannel the flyweight can easily hold you, and because it has a carbon reinforcement bar you do not have to worry about it bottoming out!

I am about to purchase my first longboard, an Apex 37. Should I choose Kryptonic wheels or orangatang wheels? Orangatangs is for sliding right? But is that a good choice for a beginner? Could anyone answer me?

@MusicRevolution68 there are some dealers that carry our boards. You can email us the location you are staying at and we will be able to tell you if there are any nearby dealers. Otherwise, you can order from our website and have the board shipped to where you are staying.

HELP ME PLEASE! Im trying to get some trucks for an Apex 37 im trying to buy. But i want to slide and carve on the trucks. Which one is better, Original S8 or S10?
TheACGProduction 2 months ago
@TheACGProduction
S10 Is way better for carving, but S8 is all around performance.
MusicRevolution68 1 month ago
@MusicRevolution68 what about for sliding a little?
TheACGProduction 1 month ago
@TheACGProduction I dont really know, but dude I think the slide power is in the wheels.
MusicRevolution68 1 month ago
@TheACGProduction S8 bro. I have them and they carve super well, and they're easy to slide on. Or get some bushing trucks, they are lighter, but they dont carve as well.
OMFMlongboard 1 month ago
@OMFMlongboard now about bearings. are bones reds good?
TheACGProduction 1 month ago
@TheACGProduction Yes, but I would recommand the Super Reds. Only a few bucks more, and they are quieter.

@Originalskateboards im debating getting the tan tien or the apex 37, right now leaning towards the apex :) but i was wondering since the tan tien has kick tails can you still do pop tricks, and tail tricks with the apex. im been doing downhill freeride but i want to get into the crazy stuff, like the top hat, tiger claw, idk. is it also a good trick board i guess...
theelephanttaco 2 months ago
@theelephanttaco if you want the apex with kick tails then check out the Apex 40! It has kicks and comes in two different concaves so you can freeride, freestyle, and it won't snap at the neck since it's made with carbon!
