@hughcharlesparker Culture as it builds over time. It layers in the sense that a group of ideas are built and accepted and then the next generation grows up realizing these to be true and then building on those ideas again.
I recently went to a company that processes sheet metal coils to pick up pallets for fire wood. I was thinking that there was soo much wood, I could build a House with all of that.
Well, part of the truth is, not every part of the world have the natural resources which we do here in the United States. Perhaps, if we continue to practiced the act of charity and the three Rs (reduce, recycle, and reuse) then we wouldn't be worrying so much about pollution and landfill problems.
there are too many people on the planet. we all need work . and so the easyiest way is for us (not the thrird world nations) is to waste. because it means we need new. and we have got soo comforatble .its obsean.
@ferfsake For roughly the same reason 20 yr olds in college drive brand new 30,000 dollar cars (with no jobs)...america has developed an engrossing sense of 'entitlement' without the suffering...those days are ending fast.
Its funny, in the past and in present in most places "recycled material" is just called material

Why do you think we waste too much?
