  • bugs bunny is a good tricker

  • That sounds like Hal Smith as Elmer, not Mel Blanc.

  • I suddenly crave cereal and tang.

  • Who was doing Elmer's voice in these commercials? Arthur Q. Bryant was already gone by this time.

  • @ericinwisconsin I think the TV adverts were done by a Chris Barry. Whilst the cinema vignettes were done by ..amognst others...Hal Smith, Daws Butler (I think) and fianlly Mel Blanc

  • @BadNews88 Thanks! I had always heard that Mel hated doing Elmer because he didn't think he could sound enough like Bryant to do the voice justice.

  • @ericinwisconsin It was Friz Freleng...who finally convinced Mel..all but begged him...to do the Fudd role. Mels's reply : 'I dunno if I can...*But I'll TWY! Hahahahahah.'(From Mel's late 80's autobio)

  • A nice 1 min ABC TV Trailer for The Bugs Bunny Show!! My favourite 60's show!! Followed by Bugs and gang in a great series of commericals for Post Alpha Bits, Post Sugar Crisp, Tang Breakfast Drink and Post Treat Packs - 6 sweet treats made for kids (I remember we took these on camping trips for convenience!). I was most amused when Bugs extolled the virtues of Post Sugar Crisp for breakfast, but then adds "or eat it like candy!". Considering the amount of sugar, this is Truth in Advertising!!

  • 7:54, for once, Daffy gets a break from Bugs making a fool out of him.

  • Teaching kids how to steal cereal?

    Nice lesson Bugs.

  • I noticed the commercial starting at 5:58 uses some John Seely/Capitol Hi-Q music. I imagine it was the doing of General Foods/Post, since maybe Milt Franklyn was too busy scoring new cartoons during this time (he would soon die of a heart attack, to be replaced by Bill Lava)

  • Yeeeeehaaaaa! This brings back some of the sweetest memories for me.

(Now, don't try to figure out my age, LOLOLOLOL).

  • I DID I DID SEE A PUTTY CAT!

  • good!!! :D

  • why say whabit. No tendria que decir rabit.

  • Tang and Post- what a combo!

  • These delightful commercials are better than some of the theatrically-released Warner Bros cartoons of the 60s ("Bunny and Claude", ugh)

  • bugs and fudd own fred and barney in cereal commercials XD

  • I remember those plugs that the "Looney Tunes"movie cartoons promoted: Post Cereals and "Tang"instant orange drink mix. Both products were created by "The General Foods Inc.".

  • I get a kick out of seeing these old commercials. I remember one more though, but I can't find it anywhere. It's a continuation after Bugs lands on Tang-grila. I remember he confronts Marvin the Martian who wants to claim the planet for his own. Do you happen to have it, and if so could you upload it?

  • lol-daffys shoot a duck

  • 7:54 Well, I guess Bugs had it Coming...

  • Post cereal is grrreat!!!!

  • (1(CollinCreatedWARDloyaltoCollin--)1) -- Nice work, Bugs, look forward to your award, please support BABS Bunny. --

  • oh shit! alpha bits

  • Thanks for those kick-ass Bugs Bunny commercials.

  • There's also a closing sponsor I.D. at 10:08 {"'THE BUGS BUNNY SHOW' has been brought to you by..."}, and an opening sponsor I.D. at 10:25 {"'THE BUGS BUNNY SHOW'! Brought to you by..."}.

  • The first spot is a promo for "THE BUGS BUNNY SHOW", shortly after its premiere in September 1960 (there's space for a live announcer to add at :56, "Tonight/Tuesday at 7:30, 6:30 Central Time, over most of these stations").The rest are "integrated" commercials for Post and Tang that originally appeared on "THE BUGS BUNNY SHOW" during its first season (1960-'61), as General Foods [Post, Tang] was the sponsor. Hal Smith is Elmer's voice...

  • remember these!!! thank you!!!!
