I've been a NFCU member for many years (medically retired Marine) and couldn't be happier with my credit union!! Navy Federal gives outstanding service and they're always happy to help me with any situation. Just financed my second vehicle through them and got great terms (1.79% for 4 years). I'll never, ever go back to a bank....or anywhere else. NFCU for life!!! OOOOO RAH!!! Semper Fi!!
FYI- U signed in your PROM NOTE that whenever you have ANY outstanding debt and money sitting in a NFCU account, that u are aware the funds will be automatically trnsfrrd by the system to pay your debt that u OWE. If u did not read the fine print or understand how your accounts work or did not ask, do NOT blame NFCU. They HELP millions of mbrs and they helped you by giving you that credit card that u RAN UP a balance on but didn't pay! Don't blame them for all your debt! Live below your means!
25 year member-I now have to file bankruptcy because I lost my job, behind on my payments and was filing bankruptcy they took all the money out of my account and applied it to my credit card I couldn't pay. I now can not pay my mortgage, car payments and even worse I'm eating hot dogs for a month and going to my local church for food. I paid down a $20,000 debt to just $8,000 by working extra hours and saving.
@cooperc50 With all do respect, you made your own choices that led you in to those circumstances. Don't spend money you don't have. Many people in this country have the same mentality you do and that's why this country is in the shape it's in. Because of people like you who don't take personal responsibility.
I am proud to be part of Navy Federal. I enjoy the feeling of fulfilment whenever I am able to successfully guide or assist the member and my co-workers (put a smile in their faces & mine too). Another thing I like the most were members & employees treat each other like family. NFCU go above & beyond to be able to serve the member to the fullest that I am proud to say...
