Hi there. I have always admired Olivia's voice. I even have some of her albums on vinyl from the 70's. Although I think you might have misunderstood. My song is an original. Not the original. I'm not sure who used the title first. Among others there were "Bob Dylan" and "Prince". I know at least 4 different songs called "The power of love". When I wrote this song I chose the title to match the lyrics, as most songwriters do :)

I used to get that sort of thing when searching. Apparently Olivia Newton-John has a song by the same name as well. If you know the artist of the song you are looking for you should add their name to the search criteria to avoid disappointment. It will also return far fewer results :)

Thank you, and yes I agree with you. When I produced my earlier songs I was guilty of padding with strings. Mainly because I couldn't find musicians who were serious about making music so I did it all myself. As time goes on, production improves and mixes become tighter, and maybe, just maybe I will team up with musicians who are serious about going head first into music :)

How do you make the midi sound so realistic?

It's down to the software I use. There are some good DAW's(Digital Audio Workstation) on the market, but they come at a price. The more plugins, the more money you have to spend. Software such as Cakewalk, Cubase, Logic Audio. There's a brilliant shareware one called "Cockos Reaper", which is free to try, and cheap to buy.

It can take a long time to get used to using this typs of software, but it's what all the pro's use :)

I listen to anything and everything, and my favourites change regularly. At the moment I like Coldplay, Travis, Keane, Verve and other Indie/Pop/Rock bands. My latest purchase was all the Muse albums. I suppose I am influenced by them all in some way :)
