good to see a reminder of the area I was brought up in (1958-72).it is still as wild as back then thanks to (in part) "friends of Loch Lomond" society. RTK
I'd probably say it was something like that. THough I dont know specically. I know that especially the lowlanders were raided a lot because they didn't have natural landscape to protect them, just the shores and maybe a hill or two to protect them from invaders.
I was always told that Rob Roy was a relative of mine. I have so far traced my family to Dunkil the family name was MacGrecor at one time but was changed to Black.
My mother and grandfather are McGregor's we are related.
