In fact, it is advantageous to initiate the collapse near the top (top-down) so that you can use that top section to do some of the demolition for you, requiring less explosives. If you researched nano-thermate, you would see that one of the many advantages it has over conventional explosives is that it is relatively safe in that it requires an extremely high temperature trigger, temperatures that cannot be achieved by jet fuel and office fires. Nice try though!

Nano-thermate however is extremely difficult to manufacture, and is extremely effective in controlled demolition, as any updated encyclopedia will clearly state. The advantages are endless, hence why it is of enough interest to the military for them to produce and use it.

Incorrect, the trained techs you speak of (FEMA) found inexplicable erosion, intergranular melting and oxidization, as well as inexplicable iron rich microspheres. This information can be found on FEMA's website in FEMA Report Appendix C. They recommend further analysis which has yet to be completed by people other than Gage etc.

And ext columns do not get pulled in a foot for no reason. When the floor trusses let go... Ext wall failed.

It could be filled with fuel and lit and we could lean up against it and the thermal transfer might make it warm... You have no concept of the size of this structure, not how hard it would be to "burn through" all those beams simultaneously, (from a fire 80 stories in the air.)

You can rapidly erode steel with a nano-thermitic reaction with very little audible explosion, and very little atmospheric displacement. The steel was weakened by a "rapid erosion event" (not explosive in nature and not from thermitic materials.. it was not melted.. it was eroded. (and fire was the cause). And yes there is not a SHRED of explosive (as in C4 or semtex or RDX or linear charges or any of that stuff) in the debris pile. Which was gone through by trained techs.

@99Eternal The tower failed at the point of impact (gee wonder why??!!) if you take any time to look at some excellent videos you can CLEARLY see the a line of flooring pulls away from the exterior columns. They snap all at once. Without the flooring to tie the external columns together FORGET IT!! (that comes from a structural engineer btw) The key to the WTC collapse is in the design of its flooring. The fact that the onset of collapse occurred at the point of impact does not necessarily mean that the impact is what caused the collapse to begin. You see, in a controlled demolition, you have control of where the demolition begins. In fact, a top-down demolition would be preferable here to make it appear as it was a natural collapse, and to minimize the # of charges needed as the top mass assists in demo. :)

He does not state that he believes that is when they were planted, in fact, Gage in his official presentations states that the explosives were most likely planted during the elevator modernization that took place prior to 9/11.
Again, what effect does this have on the overwhelming evidence of controlled demolition? None. Thanks for bringing this point up.

This means that you can in fact initiate the demolition wherever you would like. In fact, it is advantageous to initiate the collapse near the top (top-down) so that you can use that top section to do some of the demolition for you, requiring less explosives. We've already covered this, maybe you are just tired from commenting on Gage videos all weekend?

If you researched nano-thermate, you would see that one of the many advantages it has over conventional explosives is that it is relatively safe in that it requires an extremely high temperature trigger, temperatures that cannot be achieved by jet fuel and office fires. Nice try though!

@roquefortfiles Thermite, thermate, and Nano-thermate are completely different substances. I can go to Wal-Mart and make thermite, it has very little explosive effect and will not do much to structural steel.
Nano-thermate however is extremely difficult to manufacture, and is extremely effective in controlled demolition, as any updated encyclopedia will clearly state. The advantages are endless, hence why it is of enough interest to the military for them to produce and use it.

Incorrect, the trained techs you speak of (FEMA) found inexplicable erosion, intergranular melting and oxidization, as well as inexplicable iron rich microspheres. This information can be found on FEMA's website in FEMA Report Appendix C. They recommend further analysis which has yet to be completed by people other than Gage etc.

Note that none of these firefighters statements say whether the other buildings that they said could come down would come down due to structural failure, or due to the secondary explosions that the firefighters were talking about.

It is the reason almost an acre of floor space could be used. Because the floor trusses were hung off of the exterior columns. Entirely unique to WTC!!. The flooring does not bow for no reason. And ext columns do not get pulled in a foot for no reason. When the floor trusses let go... Ext wall failed.

Fire especially in an oxygen starved environment such as the wtc columns, cannot cause steel to fail in one hour. It could be filled with fuel and lit and we could lean up against it and the thermal transfer might make it warm... You can rapidly erode steel with a nano-thermitic reaction with very little audible explosion, and very little atmospheric displacement. You can also slowly erode steel, such a reaction can easily be contained in, say an elevator shaft, without the instantaneous audible explosions heard with conventional explosives.

The steel was weakened by a "rapid erosion event" (not explosive in nature and not from thermitic materials.. it was not melted.. it was eroded. (and fire was the cause). And yes there is not a SHRED of explosive (as in C4 or semtex or RDX or linear charges or any of that stuff) in the debris pile. Which was gone through by trained techs.

@roquefortfiles I think you are failing to comprehend that the video you linked is talking about conventional demolition methods aka C4, not nano-thermitic reactions. You can rapidly erode steel with a nano-thermitic reaction with very little audible explosion, and very little atmospheric displacement. You can also slowly erode steel, such a reaction can easily be contained in, say an elevator shaft, without the instantaneous audible explosions heard with conventional explosives.

That statement is completely incorrect, although some fuel may have entered the shafts, the majority of it was consumed in the initial impact explosion. Furthermore, fires cannot take down reinforced steel structures. The twin towers were specifically designed to withstand multiple impacts of Boeing 707's which have been shown to have equal or greater impact energy as the planes that struck that day.

And no the building was not designed for MULTIPLE jet liners. It was designed for the largest jet of the day a 707 but the fuel load was not taken in to account or the speed it was doing (and that is straight from Les Robertson the WTC architect)... If you double the speed the impact is QUADRUPLED not doubled.

Fuel cannot explain the iron rich microspheres, oxidization and intergranular melting that the folks at FEMA talk about in FEMA Report Appendix C, samples from both the towers and building 7.

Exactly, and as the FEMA report appendix C states, fire cannot cause a rapid erosion of structural steel, nor can it cause iron-rich microspheres which just happen to be the by-product of a thermitic reaction, nor can it cause intergranular melting. That's why FEMA's conclusion was that further analysis on these samples should be completed, to date it has not.

You will notice that every single exterior column along the side that fails is entirely intact up to the moment of collapse. Not only that but there is NOTHING in the way of any of this gigantic thermite reaction all you guys love to espouse about. So we have intact columns... failure.. and collapse.. @99Eternal The tower failed at the point of impact (gee wonder why??!!) if you take any time to look at some excellent videos you can CLEARLY see the a line of flooring pulls away from the exterior columns. They snap all at once. Without the flooring to tie the external columns together FORGET IT!! (that comes from a structural engineer btw) The key to the WTC collapse is in the design of its flooring. Les Robertson even said if it had a more robust floor system it might not have collapsed

The fact that the onset of collapse occurred at the point of impact does not necessarily mean that the impact is what caused the collapse to begin. You see, in a controlled demolition, you have control of where the demolition begins. In fact, a top-down demolition would be preferable here to make it appear as it was a natural collapse, and to minimize the # of charges needed as the top mass assists in demo. :)
