I've been a fan so long I've got P.E. releases on vinyl, cassette tape, VHS, CD, DVD, & MP3. I bought Fear Of A Black Planet 3 times cause it got stolen from me twice. Keep the new jams comin!
The music is New Rising Sun, Jimi Hendrix. The references, to Dylan are interesting too. Really interesting song. Been listening to PE from the beginning. They managed to put out great music through the years.
0:40 was he a boxer? anyway the picture of chuck young is too funny, chuck d himself is too cool, PE is legend and their music is still today the best around
I really liked your channel and this video. If you need any help getting this video exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. Its nice.
There's no other group I love or respect more than p.e. He said it, he's been a spokes person for a generation-My generation- and I love them foe that. Chuck d and Krs one gave us young brothers true role models in hip-hop. Thanks for a great twenty years.
Much love and respect to Public Enemy. I feel that Chuck D is still the greatest rapper of ideas and thoughts! Keep going guys, you have had my attention for years! Peace!

not so much into the song, but the message and history is cool. Old PE tracks should be blasted louder now than they were in the 80s, because this religiously and racially self-segregating culture called "The Western World" is so sick... Racism needs to be fought with a loud voice, instead all we have are complacent nods of governmental approval :(
Chuck I would like to say thank you for the education you passed on to me during my youth. You opened my eyes to the ways of the world... I have lived my life trying to stand against racism in my presence... There have been many people that assume since I am white I agree with racist comments and many have been shocked when I cut them off and tell them its not accepted... It was really hard then but I am a better person for it today. Ashley from South Carolina
I would like to thank you for your positive comment as well as standing up for what you believe...My respect goes out.
Although racism is still a fight (500 years later)...Public Enemy and other activist leaders have educated us and will pass the torch to contine the race.

this song and video is perfect. your voice is always refreshing, and I noticed flav was not even in this song. Do you and Ice Cube still speak? do something again for the old fans!
yeah, good id. that wavering guitar sample is a big part of what gives this song so much grace, power, and beauty.
it is an obvious message by pe giving props to another brilliant black artist who preached freedom and liberation and is so underappreciated by his own people, as they themselves are.
Fuckin sick, i think best eva and im barely a PE fan...i cant deny this is probably one of the greatest hip hop songs i have ever listened to
and i know my fuckin hip hop better than any of you...trust me

Absolutely brilliant. There's many references to Bob Dylan in this song, as well as some other artists. Chuck D is a strait up guy, no BS.
