  • If that was sloppy I wonder how you would describe mine -.-"

  • Do you know how a person would go about doing a color photo, making photo Sepia, but alos adding color spot ? For example.... wedding photo thats color, but you want the entire photo to have a Sepia effect, but the flowers still remain in red. I cannot find any info on this .

  • Another way to do this is use the quick mask and then erase anything you want to keep, invert the selection, then desaturate it.

But this was still a very good tutorial,

    Thanks

  • You are right, that's actually what I usually do

  • Very good tutorial!

  • Very nice tut. But I have to disagree, you sound more like Bruno. The new character of Borat-star Sasha Baron Cohan

  • Haha, yeah, I got that "gay-voice"-statement before, although Bruno hasn't been mentioned back then. xD

  • That video was great.

  • how would you make everything BUT the man black and white?

  • U probably figured it out already but in order to make everything else black and white: After making your selection just press-Ctrl+I

this inverts your selection so that you can alter everything outside the original selection

  • hello its GOOD kan you send the wallpaper on you desktop :P

  • It wouldn't take that long if you increased the bush size.

  • Your tutorials are great and easy to comprehend and follow. You should upload your tutorials to Metacafe dot com and submit them to producer rewards on that site. They pay upwards of 200-300 dollars or more for tutorials they dig. Razor got paid around 300 some odd dollars for showing how to erase scratches from a disk with Brasso metal cleaner.

    You'd probably make alot more.

  • linux!!

  • You can take away those spots where it isn't supposed to b/w by getting the selection tool then pressing subtract from selection, the select the parts, and the will be removed from the selection.

There is also another way to do this. You could select the part that you want b/w, then got to Layer > Colors > Desturate. I find it easier that way...

  • Thanks for posting this alternative! Btw, always feel free to make a video response!

  • Thanks for the tut. Especially liked it when you zoomed in so that we could see your menu selections.

  • Man, your background graphic pwns!

  • Very interesting, thanks for posting :)
