@llx2o1 - nope, i dont even think there is really another type of fish even close enough to hybridize. bichirs are the only type of fish i can think of that look somewhat similar. i guess you could try to breed two different species of snakehead but they all look basically the same except for size, color/pattern so there wouldnt be a whole lot of reason to try. probably wouldnt work anyways since breeding them can be very tough and need a huge tank. even breeding dwarf species can be very tough

Depending on where this was they might should have killed it. The wildlife people in my state say that any snakehead catfish caught should be killed(they recommend by freezing) and reported. They are one of the worst invasive species out there.
