Must say this is amazing fun its always played at the weekends with my uncle he is totally awesome at it. I managed to get the game perfectly free for my sony ps3 from here - 115 games. com they have literally hundreds and the best thing is they are all free oh by the way 2:33 to 3:43 was brilliant
13 looks epic, the battles seem like you can chain alot of combos together, great graphics, I read the plot and to me it makes for a great story line. I think im goin to enjoy this one alot.
Meh FFXII looks like WoW to me... It's the only FF I didn't like a lot, really, even if IX was kinda average compared to 7-8-10 it still was a great game. Not counting X-2 and XI off course.

Every chapter starts off with a completely new story except for FFX-2 and every game is quite different from one another so don't worry, although I may suggest you to play FinalFantasy 7, 8 and 10 because they're simply masterpieces, really, nothing ever got me so passionate about a game, they're not games they're pieces of art.

One thing I love about Final Fantasy is how it evolved from Final Fantasy I, it had that mid ages castle theme to it but now in Final Fantasy XIII, it has that futuristic theme to it.

Wow, i think the battle system for Final Fantasy XIII introduces a new style...it's fast-paced and it is better than the previous battle system. I am sure that Final Fantasy XIII will be a big hit just like the Final Fantasy XII. I can't wait to play this!!!
It's also on the 360. If you're not a FF purist (someone who just NEEDS to play square enix games on a playstation port) and own a 360 you won't need to get a ps3 :)

Ugh, when is this game coming out already? I've been waiting forever and this looks like it may just be the best game ever made. Looks like it's going to have a FFVII feel to it in the sense that it starts out in a Midgar-ish area (as seen in the demo), and deals with government shit....then expands into this whole fantasy/sci-fi thing. I think the story that I've heard thus far, sounds more interesting than any book I've read or movie I've seen.

It's Final Fantasy, anything goes, you can't just have FFs be the same in similarities of design and setting, they're all different in world settings, like the first FF, where it was medieval and magic, FF6, where it was steampunk, FF7, also steampunk, but incorporated a little something else, and FF12, had a futuristic setting with kingdoms and knights.

Bah... Space, robots, high-hightech. What happened to the traditional stuff with the medieval towncrossing in citys like Treno, Alexandria, Fishermans Horizon and Black mage village. They have seen it fail before; FFX(2) wasnt that great compared to 7,8,9. And from 10 on it only became worse:( Not saying this isnt becoming a good game, they just shouldnt call it Final Fantasy.
i completely agree, i mean they need to stick to the classics... 10 was ok, at best...they seem to be pulling more away from the original ff theme than going tword it. I think they should go back to any of the others, take a good look at it and see what made it so awesome, its the people and the places, and they most certainly were not in freaken space...

I think you've nailed it. I think of myself as a new gen. FF player (began with X, moved to VII, IX, X-2, XII, and then VIII), and when I look at older ones (I-VI), I say to myself, "No. All this mage/warrior/crystal stuff is BS". But, like I think what you're getting at, it depends on the FF that got you into the series.
Steampunk seems to work best in titles like these. A healthy mixture of technology and stone masonery. It's called Final FANTASY, fantasy based.
IX pulled it off pretty good, a medieval world with airship technology. I'm more or less looking forward to games by Mistwalker, since they have Nobuo, Sakaguchi and many others who worked on the previous Final Fantasy games.
i didnt like tidus (worst character, a pseudo zell)...yuna was too much melodramatic...i hated the voices, the laugh scene..and the final boss...a sphere with "cow" tits? ok the game was not soooo bad (nice battles an a lovely shiva), but in my opinion, was not a great final fantasy.
how annoying and sad to make a comment like this one, you must be 13 year old kid, who spend all the time watching crappy naruto and simillar stuff, wondering that you know about everything without realizing a basic manner: RESPECT FOR OTHER OPINIONS. Did Final Fantasy XII had spike painted hair, gay or emo heroes? Was it turned based like all the other Final Fantasies? Guess not. And by the way, if it wasn´t for Final Fantasy, most rpgs of today wouldn´t even exist, the video game industry is LUCKY this great franchise still exists. What´s a great franchise to you? Halo? And sry no Final Fantasy ever disappointed me.

OMG! I realllyy dont like the ff XII gameplay system. in fact i buyed ff XII and i just played twice... i'm not saiyng that is a crap game, but i lover ffX, for me it was the best, with the old system, and now square enix comes with this shitty new gameplay... for christ sake...

After Final Fantasy 10 the Game got ruined,
I prefered the simple Battle Screens these where what made Final Fantasy Games. Now it seems they have been ruined.

Bah... Space, robots, high-hightech. What happened to the traditional stuff with the medieval towncrossing in citys like Treno, Alexandria, Fishermans Horizon and Black mage village. They have seen it fail before; FFX(2) wasnt that great compared to 7,8,9. And from 10 on it only became worse:( Not saying this isnt becoming a good game, they just shouldnt call it Final Fantasy.

i completely agree, i mean they need to stick to the classics... 10 was ok, at best...they seem to be pulling more away from the original ff theme than going tword it. I think they should go back to any of the others, take a good look at it and see what made it so awesome, its the people and the places, and they most certainly were not in freaken space...

Cool that some ppl agree with me.. We just want the oldskool Final Fantasy "feeling" with characters using swords, spears, a mage and all that stuff. When i think of Final Fantasy i certanly do not think of a girl with a huge gun doing backflips and stuff -_- I dont think it will ever become the same again though, since The crew from 7, 8 and 9 is gone, at least Nobou for the music and i believe some storywriters aswell

I realized something, and i hope to be wrong but, we're becoming old...and i guess square probably wont make another FF like before just for us, there is a new upcoming generation to entertain...Anyway, i bet this new ff has LOT quick time evention's lol games nowadays are so automatic -_- like a crappy movies

I think you've nailed it. I think of myself as a new gen. FF player (began with X, moved to VII, IX, X-2, XII, and then VIII), and when I look at older ones (I-VI), I say to myself, "No. All this mage/warrior/crystal stuff is BS". But, like I think what you're getting at, it depends on the FF that got you into the series.

Steampunk seems to work best in titles like these. A healthy mixture of technology and stone masonery. It's called Final FANTASY, fantasy based.
IX pulled it off pretty good, a medieval world with airship technology. I'm more or less looking forward to games by Mistwalker, since they have Nobuo, Sakaguchi and many others who worked on the previous Final Fantasy games.

:O who said X wasnt good... X was one of the best! VII is by far the most popular and for good reason it's one of my all time favourite games.
I never played XII i watched a friend play it, and i thought the battle system was grim!
IX was a really good game and really fun to play and i enjoyed it but not as much as X and VII
VIII was alright i just didnt get to into it!
and all the earlier games i never played which i regret!

i didnt like tidus (worst character, a pseudo zell)...yuna was too much melodramatic...i hated the voices, the laugh scene..and the final boss...a sphere with "cow" tits? ok the game was not soooo bad (nice battles an a lovely shiva), but in my opinion, was not a great final fantasy.
Its just my point of view, i'm glad you enjoy it
