Dude, this is embarrassing. Your credibility dropped off as soon as you said 22 LR is better than 223/5.56. Do you realize that though the bullet weights are almost similar, the velocity of the 223/5.56 is three times as much (1000 vs. 3200 fps), and the energy applied is nearly 8 - 10 times as much (150 vs. 1000 ftlb). That's the difference between a shattered skull, and A BULLET THAT STOPS AT A 1/4" PIECE OF PLYWOOD!
@worknprogress123 Embarassing for you, yes I'd agree to that. This video is not meant to be an educational video, its for entertainment and the 62k views pretty much say that people like it for entertainment value.
@worknprogress123 Can't change the laws of physics. There are .22lr putting out close to 200ft lb with velocities in the 1400 range. "Knockdown" power is a myth. It's all about placement and penetration. The FBI, other organizations and emergency rooms everywhere confirm this fact. A .22 will penetrate the human skull at respectable distance. People who deny this, will never stand in front of a .22lr and prove their point... for good reason.
I got my self a clone 10/22. Almost everything is aftermarket. You can see it on my channel too. Three of the best mods to do to a 10/22 is to replace the factory fire pin, extractors, and the trigger with an aftermarkets. Another is to do the auto bolt close mod so you don't have to press the lock back catch to release the bolt to fire.
People always say a zombie apocalypse will never happen. I agree for the most part. I have heard that the C.D.C. has a protocol in place for such an event. Kinda wonder why???
I've been saying that the Ruger 10/22 is the best zombie defense firearm around for over a year and a half now, but nobody believes me because everyone says it's to small of a caliber. It's refreshing to see that someone else shares the same view.
12 gauge 00 buckshot has a nominal diameter of .33 not .32. Also the .223 has a lower chamber pressure then the 5.56 nato. If you were to use a 5.56 nato round in a .223 Remington chambered rifle it will cause excessive wear and stress on the rifle and is very unsafe. Yes the size of the cartridge is almost the same but saying these two cartridges are alike is nothing farther from the truth...
i dont get it. What is up with the zombie deal. It just makes people sound idiotic "its for the zombie apocalypse". Why not just say something that could happen. Like maybe the Taliban apocalypse.
@cartisdm Didn't need to. Since your an intelligent person using such complex words, you should surely know that many people are not joking about a zombie apocalypse
Great thing to add to a Ruger 10 22 tactical is a gripod (grip with a bipod inside) great if you want to go prone or stood, really cheap too, about $7 :)
NOPE, .17 is too expensive to stock up on and would be hard to find if the system crashed while .22lr is cheap to buy now, and would be more common to find while scavenging.
FYI The Ruger 10/22 don't take a *Clip* Its a Magazine.. Clips are fed from the top like a M1 Garand Etc.. Just so you know. Other then that AWESOME video buddy. :))
you are overlooking the lip gloss way too much. if you pull the dial out of the bottom it stays attached to the plunger, when slammed shut the pressure pops the cap off to launch it across a room. the best gun you can construct in class as a 6 year old!
i had a double stack magazine in my tapco intrafuse fitted 10/22 it didnt work at all and i wanted to shoot at it but returned it to the store for a single stack which was 100 times better
Ruger makes their own 25-rounders now. With a pic rail top you can mount a flashlight with a side mount adapter. You need batts for a dot sight or a light, but you need bullets too. Just stock up on both and keep the batts in the freezer for shelf life.
@Zenmagine Don't forget the Remington 597 which i feel is more accurate, comes with a full sized stock out the box and you can get 30 round mags too, shoots 22 LR.
its magazine fool !, a clip is what a Garand rifle use and is a working functioning part of the gun..A charger is a metal strip that is mostly use to reload a bolt action rifle !
I agree with you 100%. Sure you have to aim fot the head which takes some time but that is severely outweighed by all the things you listed here. Mosin nagants are also fun guns but i woulnt use one in a zombie apocalypse.
those are very good arguments there is one other... when a 22rl hits the skull it tends to lose alot of its energy which means it wont have enough to exit but will have enough to bounce all over the place in the skull cavity.
suppressors do not make ammo subsonic. thats what subsonic ammo does. suppressors just dampen noise made at the muzzle by gasses and blast. you still get sonic boom with supersonic ammo
i wouldnt quite say that mosenagant ammo is expensive. its 30$ for a box of 10 rounds of federal for my 7mm mauser. itd do necely on zombies but most stores dont carry the cartriges lol. but ive got to agree the 10/22 is an exceptionally good gun
@Silent14389 im tired of people saying it so much if your going to handle or even talk about fire arms know your terminology or you wind up sounding like a jackass wannabe gangster
I would only use this weapon if I was in a secure position. I wouldn't use this while on the move no stopping power what so ever. When you use this you have to make head shots. With a shotgun or assault rifle you can at least slow em down when you're moving
@PistolGripPump12ga shotguns and ar do have more stopping power but when i comes to an actual zombie apocalypse,it all comes down to how much ammo you can carry. 22 round, unlike some special rounds, are pretty much available at every store that sell guns. plus you don't need to be at a super long distance to kill a zombie.
I have an Henry survival rifle, savage model 64 and a ruger 10/22 that been through hell and back from 1984 that I just recently got , and it previous owner probably did not clean it since 1984 , concidering how much sludge I had to clean out of it , but back on subject after all that thing has been through it still pushes them through like a boss, but for anyone reading this I highly recomend all 3 of those rifles especially the 10/22 they are built like tanks,
10/22 is not BETTER. But both are great quality. 10/22 is a more logical choice it's cheaper more reliable. Customizable and in my opinion more accurate
ALSO.... Patent number 2,238,816 H.H. Maxim SILENCER
The original terminology is silencer, BUT the ATF says that either is correct. Generally everyone knows what you are talking about when you say either and saying there is no such thing as one or the other makes you sound like an ass. Also suppressor was a term coined by a 60's spy novel which I can not remember the title of
my 10/22 has an archangel ar-15 stock with a really nice acog.....but i agree just because its small i still wouldnt want to be hit with one and ammo is light as a feather and cheap as hell and you could have like 200 .223 or like 2000 .22 soo yea i agree 100% great video
ehh....you ever been shot by a .22lr? I have, only the HP can do any real damage to a soft target larger than a squirrel (through bullet expansion) but none of the .22lr rounds have enough power to penetrate bone. So any headshot is out of the question, even point blank. you might be able to blind a zombie, but that would be the best you could hope for if shooting for the brain.
@MaxximII are you trying to say a 22lr can't penetrate your skull? and you have been shot by one? was that round in the head by any chance? and if it was? it wouldn't be entirely unbelievable considering your that thick!
one of the worst round you can get hit by is a 22lr! why's that? penetrates your skull..goes through the brain.. bounces off the opposite side.. that makes your brain swiss cheese imo! not anything compared to a higher caliber.. but I'd rather not have either of them hit me.
One correction: a surpressor does not make the round subsonic, it will still produce the crack if you use regular ammo. Special subsonic rounds are available to eleminate the crack.
i think they can be taking out without head shots. they are still human just fucked up ones. closest thing to a zombie is a rabid animal, they become more aggressive and violent. if the rabies can mutate and infect humans that's where its gonna all happen. remember humans can't survive if they have rabies.
@xRAWSAWx No, not its not. He was right by saying that the .223 and 5.56 are the same cartridge with the only difference being that the Nato cartridge is rated at a higher psi. You can shoot .223 through a 5.56 gun all day long, but not the other way around. But you sure as shit cant fire the 7.62x39 round in a rifle chambered in 7.62x54R.
(ASSAULT RIFLE) Suppressed Rock River Arms Tactical Operator2 with an EOTECH Holographic site (Probably a 512) and Vertical Grip with 147 grain subsonic ammo. (PISTOL) GLOCK 17 with a Supperessor, 17 round magazines, (Maybe a few 33's) and A Flash Light mounted underneath, Black Hawk Thigh Holster, and 147 grain Sub Sonic ammo as well. (SNIPER) Mosin Nagant M91/30 with A Bushnell 4-12x40 and ATI scope mount/bolt. for those Long Range Zombies... Oh and of course A Ruger 10/22 (Also Suppressed).
@NorthRainProductions are you saying that a glock 19 9mm will go kaboom? I thought it was and is the ultimate reliability pistol. Any link to support your comment?
Zombies are made of cells too aren't they? Then they would still need energy in the form of food. Barricade yourself somewhere with about a months worth of food and wait for them to starve.
what about the 28 days later zombies? theyre still alive! or what about if the gummint comes to take our guns? they arent NOT going to be wearing body armor.....
As soon as you started using the word "clip" I stopped paying attention. Anyone who knows guns even remotely well knows that if it can be seen from the outside, it's called a MAGAZINE. You give me the impression that you don't really know what you're talking about.
Probably a couple other things i might add to a ruger would be a bull barrel and a 50 round mag, but just if i found them or they were free cuz there a little expensive..... ;)
The fact that you showed the Zombie Survival Guide and yet never read it makes me sad.

you make this gun seem soo badass........... and it is
colindomo1234 10 months ago
.223 is a smaller bullet than the 5.56 nato, but the same cartridge is used.
xRAWSAWx 10 months ago
@xRAWSAWx the 556 and 223 are the same cal the defrence is the 556 is a nato round and runs about 1000psi higher than a 223
guitarcrazz 10 months ago
@guitarcrazz Same cartrige with a different bullet, saying .223 and 5.56 are the same is like saying 7.62x39 and a 7.62x54r are the same.
xRAWSAWx 10 months ago
@xRAWSAWx No, not its not. He was right by saying that the .223 and 5.56 are the same cartridge with the only difference being that the Nato cartridge is rated at a higher psi. You can shoot .223 through a 5.56 gun all day long, but not the other way around. But you sure as shit cant fire the 7.62x39 round in a rifle chambered in 7.62x54R.

At 2:06 when you show the .45 ACP it looks a lot more like a 9mm round due to the shape of the nose.
Asertix357 11 months ago
@Asertix357
Now that I look at it, it might be. I think I did mix up the 9mm photo and the .45 photo but .45acp does come in FMJ's like that.

Uh dude, you left out the fact that the 10 22 can be converted to full auto, just a thought. :)

Lol I want one. Though I think my trusty glock should help me out enough when the shit hits the fan.
darkhalo153 11 months ago
@darkhalo153
unless you have a .40 S&W glock then its a Glocknade
NorthRainProductions 11 months ago 2
@NorthRainProductions I'd rather stick to my Glock.
darkhalo153 10 months ago
@NorthRainProductions are you saying that a glock 19 9mm will go kaboom? I thought it was and is the ultimate reliability pistol. Any link to support your comment?
garyomglol 10 months ago
@NorthRainProductions Don't you mean a glock 20 10mm :) 10mm is between 357 mag and 44 mag and glock makes neither of those
CobraRunescape 7 months ago
@NorthRainProductions nah you're going to want a 9mm glock, cheaper, lighter, less recoil, easier to find, well-know, versatile, etc

A .22 has a hard enough time killing field mice and chipmunks let alone zombies. Your retarded

@GOLDSILVERDUDE Oh ye of little faith.

@GOLDSILVERDUDE a 22. can can kill mice and chipmunks like nothing
xboxluva22 11 months ago
@xboxluva22
Yes it can, and after seeing what CCI stinger HP's can do to a coyote I am confident that it will put down a zombie with a headshot.
NorthRainProductions 11 months ago
Zombies are made of cells too aren't they? Then they would still need energy in the form of food. Barricade yourself somewhere with about a months worth of food and wait for them to starve.

its not a clip it is a magazine
paintball633 1 year ago
As soon as you started using the word "clip" I stopped paying attention. Anyone who knows guns even remotely well knows that if it can be seen from the outside, it's called a MAGAZINE. You give me the impression that you don't really know what you're talking about.
OZombieJesus 1 year ago
@OZombieJesus Official designation is Magazine. So I slipped up. Go suck a lemon. Who really gives a shit?

thejmanw234 7 months ago
@OZombieJesus
Clip vs Magazine is an idiotic debate. Military record lists a spring loaded magazine as both a clip and a magazine so who the hell cares?
NorthRainProductions 11 months ago
@OZombieJesus does it really matter?

Probably a couple other things i might add to a ruger would be a bull barrel and a 50 round mag, but just if i found them or they were free cuz there a little expensive..... ;)
