  • The Scientology training ship BOLIVAR was visiting SFO Bay from Los Angeles in 1969 and was visited by Blues Image down at Fisherman's Warf during an open house. The group found the Scientologists interesting and were rapt with the Scientologists quest for increasing awareness of everyday people. The 'mystery ship' was the media's take on the ship's visit. Check the papers from 1967 to 1969 with that phrase.

    Their impessions added up to a great song with some of the theme of Scientology in it.

  • @speedking So sorry to hear about Dennis passing away - I saw them in VA in 2006, I believe. I have been following Mike since around 1968 with Blues Image - he used to jam with my band in Ft lauderdale in the early '70s after he left Iron Butterfly. Great guy, fabulous talent.

  • Blues Image was the first band i ever saw in October 1968. They were great!!! Iron Butterfly played next and blew my 13 year old mind out...You knew it had to be a great concert because my mother was outside waiting to give me and friends a ride home and she said it was the Devil's music!!! ...hahaha

  • Mike Pinera, He was the guitarist for Alice Cooper from 1980-1983. I saw the Classic Allstars and they freakin' rocked, they backed up Eddie Money, and they performened a better show then the money man
