I hope you will remove the vinyl top before you repaint your 66. Not original, vinyl top appeared only in 67 or was added to 66 at the dealer but not installed at the factory. Plus the vinyl top design you have looks more like the ones from 68 and beyond. Anyway, lose the vinyl top, restore your beautiful 66 to it's original splendor.
i just pickd a 66 up and its been sitting for 10 years... i heard that if it sits for that long the first time u fire it up and get on it the tranny will fail? is this legit?
Back in the day, it was hard to find anyone to work on these cars besides a dealer.
When I was a kid, I knew a mechanic who would work on any car. He would also work on Tractor Trailers. He said, he would repair any car except two. The Olds Toronado and the Chevy Corvair!
very very nice car, my dad had one before and i wish he kept it...but you dont sound very enthusiastic, you gotta be proud of the car. i know you are just sounds so monotone
nice car ! you don´t see many , and certainly none with a vinyl roof. That VR is unusual indeed. Personally I think it detracts from the design....
if you bring it to the shop tell them to take the VR off

What did you do in the "restoring" process.
Any engine or Transmission work.

This is not the car for sale on Ebay. However, if you want to purchase it, I will sell it for $20,000.
