  • My son was in the 3rd ID! He was in Iraq during "The Surge of 2007-8! Did a 15 month tour over there....... Now he is on his 2nd Combat tour and is in Afghanistan! People with bias political opinions please remember the soldier who is fighting over there..... For his there to keep those who hate us from coming over here.....

  • THIS is how it is. there's no glory or chest pounding. there is fear and there is stress. No one ever said it would be easy..these are your sons. your husbands, your boyfriends. your friends...THIS IS HOW IT IS...

  • @billholb1974 also asshole saddam was saying that so we would fight him

  • @billholb1974 I'm gussing you're a rich kid finishing up college that's never experienced the real world, or a dumb fucking moron living in the city to busy watching porn to realise that not everyone is nice in the world. You do understand some people enjoy killing, right? If we leave places like that we leave little kids to grow up to be suicide bombers, and kill random people out of jealousy. W.M.D. is not the only goal.

  • who is the damt idiot who is video taping while being fire upon

  • They did find some. Whats wrong you don't read the news??

  • shit someone was hit! is he alright?? 1:31

  • His head was gone .....

  • lol

  • No, young retarded one, that is what you call restraining the neck, to avoid further injuries... please read a book once in a while, its good for you, and remember Stay In School!

  • There's no way I could handle that. Thank God that there are people out there that can. I knew it was dangerous over there but then to actually see this is scary. Stay safe guys!

  • I LOVE THE BRADLEY FIGHTING VEHICLE! or BFV! holy hell! it's fun to drive but a pain to maintain. but when it comes rollin around a city block it's seriously a beautiful sight. no joke. I am a Bradley driver and I approve of this video.

  • I'm not military. When I watched this footage I thought "my God these men could be my sons." My heart ached for the stress they were under. I just want them to know that I'm proud of them.

  • the m16 family performs the way its supposed to as long as its properly maintained and to be honest my freind had used a m16 over there and he told about a few times dust got in it and it fired colt loves to jam i prefer bushmaster anyway god bless the troops cant wait to join you guys

  • we all should show respect to these guys, regardless of your opinion. Im active AF, and my friends brother is the one being loaded into the back of the Abrams...sniped in the head, and lived!!!

  • thank god he is ok

  • for sure!! god definetely had his back.

  • @calijavier81 am tooootally glad your friend survived God bless all of you!!

  • wow thats the real shit huh? god damn goin on in iraq. damn thats so awsome

  • Why didnt they use the m-16

  • Because you can tell the difference between the two, they use the Ak because it makes the enemy believe its there own guys firing. Hope that explains it clearly enough.

  • why give imformation

  • why give imformation

  • What the hell are you talking about? The use the AK so they can confused the enemy? Maybe for unconventional troops like the Green Berets.

They used the AK because there's alot of it in the inventory.

  • The soldiers with the AKs are Iraqi soldiers.

  • The AK is much better suited to the dirty, dusty environment of Iraq than an "M-16".

  • If a soldier looks after their rifle properly, jamming would not be an issue

  • Most arab nations are suplied by old Russian arms. AK-47 is very cheap and there are a ton of them on the market. The US doesn't mind buying other people's guns to give to them, there's no reason to go handing out our tech when they turn around and sell it , lose it, or use it against us.

  • They wear helmet cams to keep the soldiers in check..so that noone can falsely acuse soldiers of things they did not do,and vise-versa, also there really are no tactics while you come under fire unprepared..this isnt football for hells sake

  • Those soldiers have all my respect. I wish our leaders would bring them home.

  • I think the video shows the American professional soldier calmly and effeciently doing thier job. Anyone who knows military history knows that not have cameras been in the battlefield since thier invention, but the military puts the footage to good use for future soldiers and tactics. As for the people who feel this is giving away our tactics...well good ones are as old as history since Sun Tzu wrote the art of war:)

  • Why would people react negativly to this? There is nothing negative about it.Can you clarify your statement?

  • God Speed Guys!

Our prayers go up for you every day.

I hope the soldier that was injured was able to recover.

    Keep tight brothers. Hold Fast.

    With thanks from the U.S.A.

  • guys they edit these vid and they post them so that they dont give anything away.. plus there tactics are always changing

  • I d like to hear soldiers what they think about the war in iraq. do you see a sense? what do you think about your governement? about the world? how does the world have to look like in your eyes? dont you think the people who call you heroes just see their own profit? i would like to hear your voices as you are the same human beeings as mr.Bush. You are in! Whats your opinion?we are all human beeings

  • If you really want to know what soldiers think start reading their milblogs and the people who are over there filming like Michael Yon and Pat Dollard.

  • Vox Veterana is a very new blog where soldiers discuss their views and experiences. Check that out if you can.

  • yea i agree with mild. Personaly i think it would be better off if you they didnt post these videos cause it does give up alot of our stradegy. Not to mention most these videos get taken and labled in some bull shit way. Alot of this shit gets misinterprited.

  • These are all screened and cleared by DOD and CENTCOM. Nothing in them is giving away anything that is not available to the public at large.

  • No disrespect intended by this question, but who films these kinds of scenes? Isn't everyone busy fulfilling some duty during battle? Is someone assigned to filming duty so you can review your strategy or something?

  • Actually there are soldiers that are videographers as their duty. And yes they actually use some of this footage to review tactics. Good observation! And should the need arise the video guys drop the camera and of course aid in the firefight.

    Thanks for asking

  • @mildseven2006 well and the other thing is im pretty sure those were images from helmet cams, so its a little different than having an actual reporter or someone carying a big ass camera around
