these dogs make me so happy... seriously if anyone is an experienced dog owner and wants a dog that will change their life get a pitbull. I say experienced because these dogs are strong... these dogs are smart... and as the media has shown these dogs under the control of a sub-par owner can be an issue but these dogs only want to make you happy... these dogs will persevere through anything.. any amount of pain.. any amount of danger just to be by your side and please you... do the world a favor

I love pit bulls! I have one and I'll admit before I got her I was one of those who wasn't sure about pit bulls based on name alone, but I'm so glad I went through with it. All she wants to do is cuddle up next to me. My roommate has a golden and the golden actually bit my dog when they first met. My dog made no attempt to fight back just took the bite (which drew blood) and has never made an attempt to even the score

I love your videos. Peyton is a Pit/Sharpei and he is very sweet. He loves toys and I hope he gets adopted soon. I also know a new dog in the shelter named Cotton. He is a Pit Bull. He is either pure bred or mixed a tiny bit with another breed and he is deaf. I haven't read the reason he is at the shelter because I don't want to know. I am thinking that someone abused and starved him because they gave him special food. I hope Peyton, Cotton and other pits that come into the shelter are adopted.

sadly enough, the pit bull has and always will be a fighting breed. it takes a lifetime of socialization to keep dog-aggression down in them. it's a common rule (at least to smart people) never trust a bully not to fight. there are tons of pits who won't fight (like mine-they're cold fighters), however, the average, game-bred pit bull will not hesitate to fight. it's the fighting heritage that is these dogs' saving grace. it's what makes them the perfect family dog.

pit bulls (the bull-and-terrier cross) were bred for fighting, but it is this heritage that is their saving grace, for who wants to give an injured dog treatment, knowing it's gonna bite you? the refs felt the same way, as did the handlers. so they were killed on the spot for the first bite, leaving only non-human aggressive dogs in the gene pool. so inherently, pit bull breeds are the only breed period to be bred not to bite people.

It's sad that people (those scared, and those who abuse) look at these dogs the way they do. Those that are scared, look at them as crazed killers that are unpredictable.

Those that abuse don't treat them as living, breathing animals that do have emotional feelings and nerves running throughout their bodies and they CAN suffer.. no matter how TOUGH they are.

I say that we take all the owners of APBTs that we find that have been abused and chain them up outside with little more than a shelter to protect from the elements and then make them fight for thier food and when they get bad wounds let it get infected and cause as much pain as possible so they might know what kind of pain and suffering that they inflict on not only the dog they did it to but also softies like me that cant even watch this video when the abused animals come on the screen.

Actually there are well documented fights between game bred Tosa Inus (from Japan)vs game bred APBT American Pitbull Terriers)where the APBT's have won.None the less they are both the only real dog breeds that were bred soley to fight. 1.APBT 2.Japenese Tosa Inu.Every other dog whether Kangel or Ovarchaka are not in the same league.

There is no such breed as the 'american' pit bull terrier. It is not a recognised breed by the 'american' kennel club. Therefore as there is no standardisation and conformity just a backyard breeder attitude on what they think is right there is no such breed. The 'american' club does however recognise a breed called the 'american' staffordshire terrier. The "pit" is just an attempt to resurrect the originally bigger staffie fighting dog of the past from staffordshire, ENGLAND!! not fuckin USA

excellent, make it a chain effect, no papers, no backyard breeding, vets made to see papers, etc, i think 2 many people have access to cheap unpapered pitbulls/crosses, a lot of these people dont take the proper precautions, hence neglect etc, a means test of sorts should be implemented to preserve and keep the standard, it would save a lot of money in the long run, the shelters and the culling must be minimised, the vets dont mind because they get paid.food for thought. long live the APBT

I just believe very strong laws should be in place for owners of all pets & if someones gets loose & kills or maims, the victims family should be entitled to millions if a human is killed and a very large amount in they are maimed for life. Judges should have that compensated from there paychecks & or property.

When i was in Brixton,London I saw a guy with a Pit bull. It was huge and off leash. Some woman screamed really loud and when i saw him, he was so happy and wagging his tail whilst running next to his owner on a bike.

It was the most gorgeous dog ever.

from what I hear from experienced dog owners spaying or neutering your dog really does make it less likely to be agressive or be hiper. Mellos them out sort of when I get a dog Im neutering him so the problems reduce to a minimum.

Good compilation, but some of the negative pictures are tad hard to take imho :( BSL is just a reflection of how powerful propaganda can be. It's not just BSL that's a problem, but folks should always be concerned what the next crusade the media will go on when they have no material.
