An SKS is superior to the AK IMHO. It's more accurate, uses a stronger milled design (as opposed to the stamped AK), has a last shot bolt hold-open, can use stripper clips, its safety can be actuated from a firing position, and its less expensive. With the money you'd save you could buy some cool accessories or more ammo.

you can put a banana clip on an sks but its not recomended they tend to jam way more then the standard 10 rd built in mag i hear the plastic mags are better if you do it
