  • Oh and note, that you can only really lose a pound or two a week. So weight loss is simple, but it just takes a long time. (Dropping a pound or so a week, it took me like 10 months to lose 40 pounds or so).

    Get yourself a good scale, and weigh yourself at the same time every week (I use Sunday morning) to track it. You can even get that new scale that posts your weight/BMI to Twitter via WiFi!

  • It's easy! I lost about 60-70 pounds total. The bulk of it was about 50 pounds over a 10 month period. I still have to lose about 20, but that's the hard part. I'll eventually get around to it. :)

    All these shows like Biggest Loser etc. make it look so complicated. But really it's simple math. There's 3600 calories in a pound. Calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate, and try to come in 3600 calories under par for the week (via diet/exercise). It's that easy. Just keep track of stuff.
