I love the picture of her at 3:15 her hair is so beautiful, she always had such a great hairstyle, so timeless and classic, love the soft bouncy curls! She was such a beautiful person inside and out. LOVE YOU KAREN! :)

In Karen's KIQQ interview, she says of this song, "We used that on the last Christmas special," and it does indeed sound showtune-y (but wasn't on that ABC broadcast). Does that mean it was taped and put in the vault, like the never-seen "Pocahontas" skit from the 1976 special? If so, how cool would THAT be to see? I wish Richard would team up with ABC or PBS to create a compilation clip Christmas special, maybe with the Perry Como videos too.

i love carpenters. i wish karen was still around, singing christmas song live on tv. i love her voice and esp. when xmas is coming soon and i'm so in xmas's mood now, it's a pity it's all recording we are hearing but it's better than nothing. RIP Karen!

They released the original entire "Christmas Portrait" album on CD. It's a 2-CD edition that includes their two Christmas albums in their entirety. You definitely need to put your hands on this, if only for this truly amazing medley !
