@vINathIx No spelling of "aluminum"/"aluminium" contains an O. The difference between the names aluminum and aluminium and the reasoning behind it is easily researched on the web. In short, both are accepted and there is a good reason why. It's actually pretty interesting, so Google it. :)
"We don't want to carry around a mouse, right? So what do we do? Oh, a stylus! Right? We're gonna use a stylus! ...No. No. Who wants a stylus? You have to get 'em, and put 'em away, you lose 'em, yuck. Nobody wants a stylus. So let's not use a stylus. We're gonna use the best pointing device in the world. We're gonna use a pointing device that we're all born with. We're born with ten of them. We're gonna use our fingers."
-Steve Jobs, at the iPhone keynote presentation in 2007
@NESherv That's great if you have skinny enough fingers and good dexterity. Not everyone does. That's why there are so many expensive styluses for Apple devices one can buy.
Guy below me: he made it himself dummy. You trade in professional looks for a cheap do it yourself option. But if it works it works. Actually it doesn't even look that bad.

great tutorial
does it have to be an aluminum rod? or can it be those steel pens? I have tons of them lying around
diego10k 10 months ago
@diego10k You can attach a piece of foam to the steel pen temporarily to test it. If it works, it works, if it doesn't, it doesn't.

I think Radio Shack just got really cheap; they don't have any of the form on their chips anymore.

That looks very cheep looking. I'd much rather buy a real stylus.

Where do you get the aluminum rod?

@grafix2c
Lowes/Home Depot, etc.
McMaster has a 12" length for under $4.
