Everyone has different arm lengths for some, 90 degree's is touching their chest and others would need to go to about 45 degrees.. You want to go maybe a LITTLE bit under 90 degrees which isnt always touching your chest. If you don't believe me watch scott herman's video on benching.. Also, smith machine is great to perfect form.

    2. Victor martinez, phil heaths and many many others love using smith machine.... also, smith machine is great because it has tabs that will work like a spotter even if you're lifting alone. On normal bench press you can't lift to failure if you dont have a spotter on smith machine, you can. Lastly, smith machine isolates your chest alot, and takes alot of pressure off your shoulders.

I'm a bodybuilder, I don't care about maxing. Infact, I don't max at all.
