  • @D0UW3ee Yeah I've been listening to some Iron Maiden lately. Wicker Man and The Evil that Men Do are my favorite tracks so far. And I'll mention now that I've been a Judas Priest fan for awhile too.

  • how i could know about this band???it fucking kick ass!!!!

  • the full album must be loaded. go go go!!!!!

  • I saw a Hall and Oates pay-per-view advertised on cable for $9.99 last week - came here and got Angel Witch for free. God Bless America.

  • im so glad my parents had good taste in music cause this is what i got to listen to as a kid, probably why i am so smart

  • I'm fairly new to the metal scene, but I'm glad this is one of the first bands I heard about. They got me into it. What's "NWOBHM" btw?

  • @yuyufan New Wave of British Heavy Metal

  • @yuyufan I find it pretty cool that you like this as one of your first bands. Most people start with Metallica, Slipknot, Korn and dat shit. (its not shit just way of expressing)

Anyway you MUST check out Iron Maiden if you haven't yet. Me personally I prefer their older work (Album: 'The Killers') remember tomorrow is really good. Sorry sometimes I get overexcited xD

Anyway just look at google for more NWOBHM bands ^^

  • Of course, one could also argue that Judas Priest isn't NWOBHM, but is in fact Original Heavy Metal, along with Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and Deep Purple.

    Either way, awesome band.

  • Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, and Motorhead are the most well-known NWOBHM bands.

In my opinion, besides them, the best ones are this band, Saxon, and Diamond Head.

  • I Dont Understand that Angel Witch arent an icon of New Wave of Brithish Heavy Metal

  • @Pridery27 they are, if you think that they basically tour the world since 1980 with only this album (they have done other 2 discs, but no one cares about them)

  • BUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR THE WHITE WITCH!

  • Eargasm.

  • Count me in with both of you. I know Angel Witch is awesome shit!!! NWOBHM fan ever since I first bought Metal for Muthas several years ago. Half of these bands you can't find anywhere, like Ethel the Frog.

  • hmm... video isn't playing for me it ends as soon as i click on it. is anyone else having this problem

  • whos the slimy cocksucker that voted down on this awesomeness???!!!

  • Apologies for ignorance, but what is "nwobhm"?

Angel Witch is awesome...that's all I know haha

  • @VosotrosEterno ---it stands for New Wave Of British Heavy Metal

  • @metalmaniaxx

    Grazziere. I like it too!

Like, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, stuff like that counts too?

  • @VosotrosEterno I think Judas Priest isn't NWOBHM, because they started before, in the 70s. Iron Maiden is NWOBHM, but I think it was New wave just in the Paul Di'Anno period.

  • @FytTigersharq

Ohhhh okay. Makes sense. And ywait, you're referring to when Paul was still in the band or afterwards? If you mean when he was in the band, yeah. Otherwise, nnnnnot so much haha.

  • @VosotrosEterno Yes, when Paul was still in the band.

  • @VosotrosEterno it stands for New Wave Of British Heavy Metal

  • thumbs up if rap music is shit

  • if your using the word poser your a fucking faggot.

  • Doing this "\m/" is not metal at all. it is for posers

    posers need to die.

  • @volcomstonevolcom

How is it for posers? Does it seem immature to you? Well, I think everyone can express themselves however they want to and you shouldn't just call someone a poser just because of something like "\m/". You don't know them.

  • Burn the White Witch! \m/

  • i used to go see all the nwobhm bands in the late 70´s and early 80´s AngelWitch always rocked the hardest and were better than the rest yet it was the others who got the fame which is a shame, the only other 3 piece that came close to them was motorhead but they wern´t so into the black magic aspect of metal, anyway it was good to hear them again after 30 years, they´re as good as they ever were all thats missing is my nose full of whiz and a bottle of jack. NWOBHM is real Metal

  • Just listen to the bassist, and ask yourself, is Iron Maiden's 1980 album really as good? Their hit shit got around only after they kicked the drunken soul of the band out.

  • @Simpson654 Yes, it is as good. Really, Dianno's albums are the best things Maiden did.

  • this song it's a masterpiece,nothing more

  • WOW!

  • Hell Yeah.

But for some really awesome NWOBHM look up Saracen-Heroes, Saints and fools

    and Voltz.

  • First I listened to Solstice's stormchild, then cirith ungol's frost and fire, and now this. I can die happy

  • Other then Grim Reaper, Angel Witch is the best NWOBHM band.

  • Angel Witch is the best NWOBHM band ever.

  • You can see a rare and old video of this song ( the band in live action in the 80´s decade ) + many other really rare ones from the 80´s in my page ! Thx, great band and song !

  • Thank you so much for posting this song. RockWillLiveOn, I agree about Raven and Tygers of Pan Tang. You have great taste!!!!

  • People are saying Iron Maiden is ripping off Angel WItch ..I disagree because Iron Maiden formed before Angel Witch , and they too released an album in 1980 just like Angel Witch..And Iron Maiden too played in the late 70's just havent recorded their stuff then on vinyl yet..So pretty much people are just saying stupid things, Both bands are amazing..and yes maybe they sound alittle bit the same..No big deal..

  • @KattLesskaTutorials

Angel Witch & Iron Maiden were both part of the Roundhouse scene in London, so both influenced by the same sounds. Always preferred Angel Witch myself but remember Iron Maiden had Paul Dianno on vocals then, still a great band but a different sound to later. Angel Witch went downhill after Dave the drummer left & they started to introduce synths imho

  • Best NWOBHM album ever!!!

  • This is just so fucking awesome

  • One of my favorite tracks of the band!

  • it's stuff like this that makes me proud to be british :D

  • heavy fuckin metal for the win!!!!!

  • This album is a must in any NWOBHM collection!

  • ricky x your ex drummer is my ex it's kaff x

  • What a guitar solo!!! Amazing feeling!!

  • listen to angel witch-frontal assault

  • i know im gonna sound like a total noob when i say this but i only heard of them from brutal legend and i cant get enough of them.....

  • I agree... you are gay for finding these guys from Brutal Legend

  • @supmayne1 I found Angel Witch from Brutal Legend too. Its not like Guitar Hero where u hav little kids playing Raining Blood on a plastic guitar then calling themselves Slayer fans. Alot of people who played Brutal Legend were most likely already Heavy Metal fans cos thats who the game was for. I knew alot of the bands alredi but i had never listened to Angel Witch before and im glad i found them. You should be thanking it anyway, how else are these unknown NWOBHM bands gunna be kept alive

  • Yeah that isnt really the problem... The problem is when kids listen to it from a game and then only listen to that song

Like one song has 3414753423 views and the others have like 312

  • How old are you? Because if you grew up to this album in the 80's, then you are very fortunate and lucky. But remember that "kids" today (like myself) were born in the late 80's and didn't get that exposure until a game like Brutal legend came along and brought back a refresher of true heavy metal. And since we have gay-ass music today where they just sign ANYBODY on and are so wrapped up in commerical ludacris, no one should be shunned for finding a song like this off of a game.

  • Im just saying listen to the band not just one song... Like if this is the only song u have on ur ipod from them

  • Comment removed

  • Ok, I see your point. But isn't the song they used from Angel Witch on Brutal Legend, "Angel Witch" itself?

So if he's listening and commenting on this song, then he IS listening to the band

  • Im saying in general

  • @RockWillLiveOn ha youre a fag bro

  • @Possessed420 umm.. and why is that?

  • @localboyrlm K man, the other guy can fuck off. You gotta find out about this band somehow. What does it matter how you know them? You're a fan now and that's all that matters...

  • thx bro

  • I own this album,fucking awesome.

  • Burn the white witch!

  • DONT BURN THE WITCH

  • Iron Maiden and Judas Priest are pretty much the only NWOBHM bands that i've listened to, unless u wanna include Venom and Motorhead. I heard Angel Witch about a month ago for the first time and FUCK!!! this shit is fuckin awesome!

  • I know, man. I'm in the same boat as you.. I've noticed that I'm starting to favour the NWOBHM bands the most out of all types of metal. Perhaps it's the more punk-ish sound they have.

If you like it, might I suggest "Raven" and Tygers of Pan Tang" as other bands.

  • @RockWillLiveOn TYGERS WILL BLOW YOU BOLLIX OFF

  • @RockWillLiveOn and definetly some avenger, some diamond head and saxon

  • @RockWillLiveOn don't forget Satan and Grim Reaper

  • @RockWillLiveOn ---dont forget tank.manowar.praying mantis and riot

  • @metalmaniaxx manowar isn't nwobhm lol

  • @metalmaniaxx Manowar and Riot aren't NWOBHM, they are both from United States

  • @RockWillLiveOn I suggest Tank too!

  • @JTOwens89 Motörhead and Judas priest are not NWOBHM. 1979-1985 Is NWOBHM.

  • @StayUgly what u talkin about priest and motorhead are totaly nwobhm

  • Let me introduce you to a few more NWOBHM essentials: 1. SAVAGE - Loose N' Lethal (Metallica covered them) 2. TYTAN - Rough Justice (members of AWitch & JPriest) 3. DEF LEPPARD - High N Dry (when they were METAL!) 4. SAMSON - Shock Tactics (w/ Bruce D, pre-Maiden) 5. SAXON - Wheels Of Steel; Strong Arm o/t Law 6. DIAMOND HEAD - Lightning to the Nations (Metallica faves) 7. RAVEN - Wiped Out 8. GIRLSCHOOL - Hit & Run (the female Motorhead) 9. TYGERS OF PAN TANG - Spellbound 10. MORE - Warhead
  • @JTOwens89 Judas Priest are from a period way before the NWOBHM so they aren't considered as a part of this wave. But hey, still a kick ass band...

  • @JTOwens89 Priest isnt NWOBHM,they were formed in 1969 and put out their debut in 1974.

  • how does that not make them nwobhm? Just because they came before the other bands doesn't mean they aren't that. I think that they really started to get the nwobhm sound in the late 70's though

  • @StopMotionHeadBanger WTF are you talking about!?There is no NWOBHM sound!

"How does that not make them NWOBHM?"Seriously?Do you consider Black Sabbath to be NWOBHM?They were formed the same year as Priest, ffs!

  • @TheGreatDuck priest is counted as early inseration for nwobhm but its counted as power and black sabbath started in 1965 as earth they became black sabbath in 68

  • @StopMotionHeadBanger because it was pretty much hard rock and rocknroll til hell bent for leather

  • @JTOwens89 motorhead counts dude :)

  • @JTOwens89 man you gotta check out Raven, they are so god damn intense!!!

  • @JTOwens89 try Saxon

  • @JTOwens89 Priest is not NWOBHM.

  • @hehhee1000 Yeah I know, you're the fourth person to tell me that since I posted the comment a year and a half ago, lol. I'll never forget it as long as I live and I appreciate everyone's concern! Another band that IS considered a part of the NWOBHM that you or anyone else should check out if you haven't already is Witchfinder General.

  • @JTOwens89 judas is not nwobhm

  • @affaceci priest were there before the NWOBHM, but they were still part of it

  • @Tettuli

I don't want to over-underline my opinion, but listen at "rocka rolla", remembering the year of release, in some songs sounds more hard-rock and sometimes you can hear prog traces.

At the spread of nwobhm they were already at a very different stage of composition and inspiration(killing machine/ hell bent for leather). Somehow is better to say that they were influenced by nwobh in some of their works of the 80's.

    Just my opinion.

    peace.

  • They played this song during the gig at Debaser Stockholm, great stuff!!!!

  • The 2nd half of this song is good. 1st half was just okay.

  • Great song - cant believe only 906 views

    :( GREAT band!!

  • for some reason the solo is just too awesome :)

  • shame that they never got big

  • This song is fucking awesome.

  • Classic, fuckin' classic.
