  • I will say that BBC handled the death of the Princess with dignity and compassion. Not like most of the commercial broadcasters there.

  • I think that was the only decent thing Charles did for Diana - to go and collect the body of the mother of his sons with her sisters. Bless you Diana, who knows how much good you would have gone on to do.

  • Princess Diana was a beautiful lady.

  • Diana was killed by the British & French intelligence (James Andanson was their agent).

    R.I.P.

  • Is this the Nine o' clock news?

  • I think this was six o'clock news

the description does say bbc evening news

  • I was not impressed the way the French carried Dianas coffin down the steps bouncing it like a sack of potatoes. Notice the Difference when Diana was back in England carried by English service men with such dignity and care.

  • totally agree mate

  • I know what u mean the French are acting like she is just a normal person

  • Well in that case; why don't we abolish the whole lot of them?

So many hypocrites say "they are such horrid people" and then say "oh no, don't get rid of them: they're part of our history."

So is mass murder but it doesn't mean that we should re-introduce it.

  • rubbish

  • Was all that background noise broadcast? The mobile phone beeping "whistle while you work" underneath the v/o seems particularly inappropriate!

  • the presenter is Peter Sissons

  • Remember it very well. Never lived through anything like it before. Not until 9/11 did I live through anything like this.

  • I well remember that day. I live quite near the local high street. I was 12 at the time and went to get the papers with my mum. Not a soul to be seen on the streets. It was eeriely quiet, like nothing I had ever seen before or have ever seen since.

  • @KevCityboy I was 12 also.

  • @EZR09

I was 11 at the time.

Never known a more sadder moment in my life!

  • she was a angel we will NEVER forget her
