@thekrebiz Thanks! Some other tires you might want to look into are the Proline Trenchers. I know a lot of guys that run trenchers on their Summits and really like them. But be sure to get the right size and the correct bead type for the wheels that you will be using.

@thekrebiz I got my Moab tires at my local hobby shop. Apparently I bought the last set for sale in the entire world. Because the Moabs have been discontinued and there is nowhere that you can find or buy them. And thanks!

@AmazinTurttle17 Are you referring to the 1/16 vxl Summit? Because mine is a 1/10. The cost is something you have to decide on. Is the money worth the fun your are going to have with it? And as far as colors go, choose which ever one you like best. There are multiple colors, and none of them are "the best." It's just whichever one you like the most. I hope this helps. @chimbo3000 Are you sure the slipper is adjusted properly? If it is, then you may want to upgrade the slipper clutch. Robinson Racing Products makes a steel spur gear and slipper clutch kit for the E-revo (also works on the Summit), or Hot Racing makes a double-up slipper kit for the Summit. It is basically like the stock slipper clutch only the parts are stronger and it allows you to use twice as many slipper pads. I hope this helps and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

@Quickyjr3299 They are Proline Moab XL's. I don't think they would fit on the Stampede 4x4. They are 7 inches in diameter. That is far to big for the Stampede.

Absolutely fantastic video dude! How do you control the truck in mid air? I just got my new summit a week ago and have a few jumping spots close by, but I don't wanna break it just yet Jaja. Is it throttle to lift the nose and brake to nose dive it? Thanks very much.

@fernandon0s1 Yup. Give it throttle to lean the truck back and bring the nose up, and hit the brakes the lean the truck forward and put the nose down. A frontflip is performed by slamming the brakes as hard as you can and hoping you have enough air to get the truck all the way around. Something to know though, is that with the stock truck, since the Summit is not too terribly fast, you may find it difficult to control in the air. If you are hitting a jump at full throttle and the truck nose

@fernandon0s1 dives, there may not be a whole lot you can do because the stock system lacks that "extra" power than a high power brushless system provides. I found air control to be much easier with the brushless system. Of course brushless systems destroy your drivetrain. That's why I'm going back to stock for a while. And don't be afraid to jump it. The Summit is actually incredibly tough. I have screwed up a lot of jumps and been fine. Just start with small jumps and have fun!

can i hook the tekin 2050kv motor to a cc mamba monster 8th scale esc?

@ontogc I would assume you could solder the motor onto that esc. However, a couple things you should know: 1) the 2050kv motor is a buggy motor. If you're going to be running it in a buggy that's fine. But if you are going to run this motor in a truggy or a big monster truck, then you are probably going to want a "truggy" specified motor. 2) if you did use that motor and esc you wouldn't be able to run the motor sensored. You would need a Tekin RX8 esc to do that.

@ontogc But yes, I would think you could use that motor and esc together because they are very similar. They are both brushless, 1/8 scale, etc. Just be sure to run at the proper voltage.

@Enter1ngsandman If I put diff spools in the Summit, I could crawl all the time, but bashing and driving performance would suck, and I would break a lot more half shafts. But yes, I have thought about it. But for what I use my Summit for, it wouldn't be practical. Instead, I am getting some aero-grade aluminum Summit diff cups. Hopefully the diffs will last a lot longer with them.

Do you break your half-shafts a lot? I was thinking about going brushless with mine but i'm not sure how the drivetrain holds up to it

@f2bclown I have only broken two half shafts in the entire time that I have owned my Summit so the half shafts are really not a problem for me. However, I have noticed that when running a high-power brushless system in the Summit, the differentials (mainly the rear one) tend to wear out and break really quickly. As long as you have your slipper clutch set correctly, your half shafts should last a long time, but be prepared to break and fix your diffs more often. Besides that brushless is awesome
