  • Эй, 21 дислайкеров, вы совсем что ли? Бибера небось любите???

  • будто ангелы поют!!!

  • Past , Present and Future.....nuff said

  • Tommy's right this song only played bye Andy misses a solo line, and at the beginnig I really thought Tommy found it but his eagerness got over the song at some point ^^

  • tommy and his too high volume shit that song

  • Tommy didnt ruin the song but i prefer it being duo still

  • As much as I love Tommy, he could've toned it down a bit at certain places.

I think what went "wrong" here was Tommy's ambition to actually jam with them, play around with the song and improvise. But he didn't really get any response. Which resulted in what we got here.

Andy and Sungha playing this beautiful song like it's always been played. And Tommy, bursting with ideas of how they COULD play it, but not getting any response.

    Any takers?

  • @JonasHetfield Good story! I think you can be right yeah :)

  • @JonasHetfield Tommy got his very own and special style, so yeah, I think you're right :/

But it wasn't bad in any way :D

  • @JonasHetfield I agree to some degree. You cant really jam too easily on songs like this though unless one of them is playing the original in the background. and sungha had his mix of jamming on the chords and playing percussion, which left tommy to just hang out and play some lead really. Just quietly tommys harmonics part at the start was an incredible addition to the sound i reckon

  • 정성하씨 부럽네요 ㅋㅋ 토미옹이랑 공연도 같이하고 ㅋㅋ

  • you should be ashamed to say that tommy ruined this, cause i would be PLEASED to see you do as good as he did here! go somewhere else with those comments cause they sure as h*ll do not, and i repeat NOT belong here.

  • @ALofnes :Haters gonna hate: free speech, chill out :D

  • melody pierces through .....

  • Tommy really did ruin the song =.=

  • @MySnowfox No Tommy just made it better

  • kinda??

  • Tommy kinda ruined it...

  • os melhores

  • the trinity of fingerstyle , the father, the son and the other son

  • hahaha Tommy's expressions.

  • you want royal rumble? the 3kings are not enough?

put lee retinour, mike stern and depapepe and fell the RUMBLE =)

  • 4:38 : jizz in my pants..

  • cool union of players...although i think it was a bit much for this particular tune. when Andy plays it as a solo piece as originally intended, it has enough going on melodically and rhythmically to not need more. but still cool to see TE and Andy playing together.

  • @ChuckDee33 well maybe ur right but i feel that don ross really made ebon coast more funky its like a remix of the original but ur right that initially it has already good melody and rythm that makes it very complete :)

  • Insanely - amazing players! Oh, yeah!

  • WoW THIS IS AWWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • @pinoixboi nawwww they were having a competition at that point, see who could get the loudest. At about 2:30 the volume begins to decrease, and Tommy comes back in. He knows he won and celebrates at about 2:50, mouthing 'In yo face!' at the other two.

  • are these 3 people considered the best (acoustic) guitarist on earth?

  • @DJuuNL If that's what you want to believe then go for it

  • Tommy played too over the top in my opinion, i think that if he played like he did between the beginning to about 1:35ish or so it would've sounded more grand in my opinion

still...a wonderful demonstration of musicianship at its finest =]

  • @pinoixboi I totally agree. The song, in my opinion, goes down hill at about 1:35. Had it been more smooth, i would have this on repeat.

  • They're so happy together...

  • some get goose bumps... i fight back the tears hearing this.. can't help myself

  • @bloodmonk74 yep. same here.

  • MAN........

  • this is great!

  • Tommy's playing was over the top but still blew my mind lol

  • :O

  • I favorited this video before wathing.

  • Tommy was clearly on cocaine again but well still okay, nd the kid was overwhelmed, while mr mckey praying for his harmonics

  • ~it's great to see Tommy still doing stuff although some of his improvisation was a bit on the strange side.

  • Sungha Jung (5,000,000) - Tommy Emmanuel & Andy Mckee ( 96, 000)

  • three amazing guys on a same stage

  • Better without the adlib. Hats off to Tommy though for being able to play along with the other two without ruining the song.

  • @MargidoAcoustic look up "Andy McKee explains his guitar system"

  • lol tommy is very enthusiastic

  • Even if you had the tabs to Tommy's solo, it would still be quite unplayable! lol

  • I like that dress-room rehearsal when the three play the song. Tommy doesn't go too hardcore on it.

  • 0:51 -1:02 i love tommy's tone in his solo!!

  • @achuMtk624 I agree, it's just the perfect tone.

  • Just being on stage with masters of this caliber is evidence enough of the how genius Sungha is...

  • What is the thing they put in the guitar hole to record sound called?

  • @MargidoAcoustic in this video i'm sure it's a pick-up. it basically allows your guitar to play through an amplifier or PA system. as far as i know, most people use the pick-ups to play the music into another recording device. putting a recorder into the sound hole is a little uncommon.

  • @lespaul13141516 aww, ok, thanks :-)

  • Great. Nice playing by all 3... Andy and Tommy keeping the melody

  • dare i say it, this version really didnt do it for me. Tommys guitar is way too loud and doesnt really compliment the songs melodies. sucks cuz the song couldve sounded awesome.

  • awesome!

  • Tommy should adopt Andy, and Andy should adopt Sungha. There you go, the best family on earth. lol

  • @pierceman1212 technicly they already are a family... in fact... all guitarists are a family. :) all the second and third cousins :D

  • @pierceman1212 Yeah, and uncle Tracy would come for dinner sometimes :D

  • Amazing!!! Inspiration!!!

  • Ebony Coast ;)

  • Tres generaciones totalmente diferentes, pero mantienen una especie de legado que nunca cambia.

  • I agree w/Jakalar1. This particular piece is more "bluesy" with each guitarist having a part...Andy and Sungha the sets...and Tommy the improvisationist. So Tommy, the more exprienced of the three should have been the one doing "his own thing". Don't worry, Sungha will have his day in the sun...he's still so young and awesome.

  • WOW WOW... sunghajung maen bareng tommy emmanuel.... the best lah... ad Andy Mckee juga dngn keahlian maenin pukulan di fret gitar... :D

  • Andy looks so chilled out and relaxed playing ebon coast.

I thought Tommy did overdo it abit, but it was still a nice addition. Sungha did great as usual.

  • 1:43 - 1:50 WTF?? So Fast.. >.<

  • Personally, not a huge fan.

There were several moments that were amazing, but Tommy Emmanuel really needs to refrain from going all out, at least like he did here, when hes playing with McKee.

All of them are amazing though. Sungha included.

  • @Jakalar1 if i was that good i wouldnt hold back either

  • @Jakalar1 well...his role in this song as a 'cherry-on-top improvisationist' would have been kind of useless if he refrained... good on Tommy.. but i can understand why people might say he was kind of overboard.. Tommy had the hardest role ,, if youve seen the backstage clip of this, Andy and Sungha had this piece 'set' .. and they were rehearsing their play. Tommy however was there to improvise without anything set.

  • @Jakalar1 Hi guys. Did you notice that Tommy is IMPROVISING? Have some new thoughts arised…?

  • @janklosowski Yes, but no new thoughts have arisen. I give props to TE especially because I could never do this in my life, but I agree with Jakalar1. The music McKee plays is in a completely different genre from TE (which really holds TE back), and that's why the speedy jazzy solos just didn't work for me in this piece. Great improv, but there's little respect for the mood.

  • @jkshoujk But I heard that piece in many "respectful" versions. This one is just a bitta different. That's why I like how TE fit it. It works for me because Andy's music is still very pentatonic. BTW - percussion stuff is great anyway.

  • oh my GOSH

    awesome

  • God bless the internet. Without it this wouldn't be possible.

  • at 2:98 tommy just looks like a retard

  • @djos3 2:98 ? I'm quite sure seconds go up to 59 before they make the next minute. Did you mean 2:08? or 2:58 ?

  • @wjdghaks woops i ment 2:58 rofl

  • people who say this doesn't have a melody are fucking idiots.

  • @Jackisalunatic yea because their ears are permantly damaged by pop craps and can't tell what they're hearing

  • @Jackisalunatic Well tommy is an idiot too then.

  • epic..this one is bloody good..

  • sooo good wonderful song i wnt to donwland ???

  • All i can hear was Tommy's playing.

  • HOLY SHITAKEEMUSHROOMS LUCKY MAN....

  • @JustYeng its hard to decide which of them was the lucky man

  • whoever that clown is thats trying to put a lead to the song failed badly. Wrong song, wrong arena.

  • God how i love what tommy does at 4:12 - 4:45!

  • I used to be a big fan of Carlos Santana, and now if you ask me who's got better improvisation skill I'll tell you it's definitely Tommy Emmanuel, without a doubt.

  • Tommy Emmanuel the best!!!!

  • Wow Excellent treat to fing these 3 GREATS come together and play one of my favorite pieces EVER Great upload JWCfree

  • I like this. A lot.

I'm a huge fan of Andy, and much less of the other two. But, the melding of the two different styles is very interesting. Very nicely done and very cool to listen to.

  • owsome..

  • whats important is it might not matter in a few years. yes he is very young so its ver impressive. but when he is older it will not look as impressive. he will need to come up with his own styles. look at tommy and andy. they know how to get the crowd going. sungha will need that. lets see what happens

  • It's kinda weird hearing Tommy and Andy's music come together, but it's a good kind of weird.

  • OVERLOAD!

  • I see alot of people posting here didnt like Tommy's soloing on this. I thought it was great to see him get his jazz on (even if it was closer to 'smooth jazz' than it was to Wes =). I dont think he detracted from Andy's tune at all. Sure it was different, but not worse.

  • I asked tommy personnaly his own opinion about music of Don Ross and Andy, he replyed that its hard to play with them for him cause they almost dont have the melody , only grooves.

  • please zoom it when he smiling

  • I LOVE TOMMYS PART!!!!!!!!!!

  • They should totally put vishdrum guy in there... omg..

  • @wotltkfkdgo YES!! lol

  • @vietcheesesteak I think Igor is a talented guitarist. He even graduated University with guitar. Unless you could attain that yourself, I will still continue to think that Igor is a very talented guitarist.

  • @vivoboi38 .....I did not say he isn't talented...but I don't think he is as good as these 3. He mainly covers songs not like these 3, they compose songs. If you think Igor is that good..At this age he should be touring around the world and jamming with top class guitarists like these 3.

  • @vietcheesesteak Sungha composes? i don't think he does. He's here playing with these guys cause he's talented, that's all. You say igor hasnt composed himself, well, then you haven't looked for it too well. go ahead and see what he has made.

he's the best guitar player, probably together with tommy.

and please, don't say sungha is better than igor, cause by far he is not.

Igor has graduated in guitar and has more than 40 years experience, now who can say that?

  • @CJVdeGruijter .....He has 16 own compositions...are you new to him? Don't matter he is graduated or not....You think Tommy, Andy, and many other best known guitarists graduated too? They are naturally gifted at the guitar...If Sungha attending Juliar or Berklee who would qualify to teach him unless it's Tommy, Ullie, Andy, etc... Tabbing out an existent song is more challenging than composing....are you for real on this? It's your opinion but the truth is Igor is an unknown to top guitarists.

  • @vietcheesesteak dude i don't mean to discredit him. wtf should it matter what u and i think who's better. but just for the heck of it. i've looked up his compositions. now go and compare them to igor's.

    nuff said

  • @CJVdeGruijter are you seriously comparing a 50year old adult to a mere 14 year old boy???? you are so retarded

sungha hasn't even got over puberty you nincompoop

  • @epiphany585 r u that frustrated?

    go fuck yourself

  • @CJVdeGruijter Sungha has posted over a dozen original compositions. A few are on the CD he released too.

  • @vietcheesesteak and another thing. when he covers a song, he writes a whole new standard for that song. it's not like he has tabs. it comes out of his mind --> how he feels it should sound like.

  • @vietcheesesteak: I'm a huge, huge fan of Sungha. I got into fingerstyle because of him. But he is not better than Igor Presnyakov. And that's coming from someone who doesn't like Igor's music that much. Sungha has a long way to go before becoming as good as the other guitarists, he needs more experience. Give him a few years and he'll get there.

  • @SharonGuitar500 ..It's absurd to praise a guy that is very much play covered songs...and has not touring and playing with the best guitarists..You are entitled to your opinion but Sungha is much more better than Igor.

  • This is like the holy FATHER, SPIRIT, and SON ...

  • @wjdghaks Except none of these people are sadomasochists.

  • i love guitar

  • Im gonna just faint

  • now this is ACOUSTIC G3

  • the guitar is SINGING ..!!!! cool ..

  • I just had a immense eargasm...

  • Never thought I'd see tommy struggle. But he was actually at the point of desperation.

  • tommys solo was getting a bit to hardcore the song

  • @truemaori123 that´s what I call a well done contrast

  • @truemaori123

    he's just playing around

  • @truemaori123 Very true, killed the flow at some points.

  • @truemaori123 agreed

  • @truemaori123

    no, he was the zone

  • To be fair, just watched another video with all 3 of these guys on this same channel playing this tune, as a comparison tommys playing on this vid is a great improvement. The other video of them that looks like it was filmed backstage(?) is even worse with regards to tommys lack of taste. I just dont get it!!! How can someone as gifted a player as Tommy E obv is, can have such little regard to the music he is 'Soloing' over. I hate to think it, but it sounds like he is playing through his ego..

  • @buckleyboy666 Calm down dude. Who are you to judge whether Tommy is playing through his soul or his ego?

  • @5amuu Thankyou for your concern regarding my temper, i can assure you i am very calm and level headed, thank you again. Regarding who am i to judge whether Tommy is playing through his soul or ego; the comment box on youtube is here for that very reason, so people can give opinions/judge. Just like you are judging me on my comment. and responding to it. Its only my opinion, just like you have your opinion. So please, forgive my rhetoric:Who are you to judge my comment? peace :D

  • @buckleyboy666 Good point indeed. We're all entitled to our opinions :)

  • @5amuu Im glad we can discuss our points like adults without getting into the all too familiar 'flaming' that goes on YT. Peace :)

  • Im a big fan of Tommy E, but i gotta say Tommys playing at certain points was tasteless. I have watched Tommy on several tours and really enjoyed his obvious command of the guitar. Tommy lacked empathy for the tune being played, and and just seemed to go off on musical tangents when it suited HIM AND NOT THE TUNE. There is no question of Tommys technical ability, but doesnt mean he is beyond criticism. If he didnt know the tune, then play nothing or something understated, rather than wank off :S

  • What if Igor Presnyakov joined in the party... it would REALLY BE the day fingerpickers took over the world.

  • @vivoboi38 ......What's good is he? He ain't in these guys' league, that would be a defamation for these guys to play with him.

  • after 1:47 Tommy started to kill the song :/ .. haha.. he's still awesome though x] ,

    ANDY MCKEE is my idol

  • wow is there anything tommy can't do

  • soothing!!!!!!!!!

  • just smoothhhh...

  • indeed, they are masters, I wanna be like them :D

  • how old it has??

  • Hey Guys... Keep your eyes wide open... MAYBE YOU'LL NEVER WATCH SOMETHING LIKE THIS IN YOUR LIFE... Epic moment at guitar history...

  • I thought this couldn't get any better with just Andy playing. It sounded even better in the version of Andy playing with Sungha Jung.. and I really doubt it could get any better after adding Tommy Emmanuel..

  • I was going like a "oooooowwwww ohhhhhhhh awwwwwww eeeee ohhhhhh arhhhhhh" wel watching and listening to this! Tommy is just amazing.

  • music is all about feeling....not skills......

  • @FatTomy ....If that's the case....would you listen to Jim Carrey on guitar?

  • @vietcheesesteak this doesn´t make any sense my friend xD

  • WHAT THE???? it's too awesome...

  • what the???? it's too good!!! simply awesome....

  • simply orgasmic

  • i was listening to this by closing my eyes. Damn it's a whole different world!

  • mom: OMG! wai are you covered in blood?

    me: i killed 19 people!

    mom: ALONE?!?!

me: no, i had 1,661 people that backed me up!

  • @shadowkid432 this gets old

  • @dalecanonrock and this 1 isnt even funny..

  • @cheng43 yeah

  • I honnestly disagree with the comments about Tommy Emmanuel being bad here. does some awsome jazzy improvisations and it must be very hard for him to fit this song as it's absolutely not his style of guitar playing. Furthemore, he obvioulsy doesn't know the song and he shows how creative he can be to get out the trouble.

This only shows how awsome he is. I've already seen Andy McKee (shaked his hand!) and Tommy Emmanuel in concert, and they are both phenomenal and very different guitar players.

  • @Marseille5 Wrong. Any proffesional musician will tell you "If you dont know the song, dont play it live" and "If the song isnt your style, dont try to bend it to your style, bend your style to the style of the song." Tommy failed here

  • @Patcha1993

Quotation: "If the song isnt your style, dont try to bend it to your style, bend your style to the style of the song."

    I have to disagree here.

If you cover a song, play it in your style, that makes it unique and interesting.

Many good covers are based upon this simple scheme.

Tommy does good work in adding his style to this song.

If you don't like that than its totally ok, but pls don't criticise others who like it, else there will be another war on youtube :).

  • @Walex87 right but if you cover a song then I think you must bend your own style to the song BUT if you make an interpretation then you must play the song in your own style. :)

  • @Adreizehn

Ah ok, I haven't seen it that way.

For me a cover can also be a reinterpretation of a song, I use the same term there.

Maybe Patcha1993 is also seperating both things.

  • @patcha1993 well... i wont argue with u, but his still one of my inspiration for playing music =D

  • wow, he's really kickin' back with the greats now ...

  • i dont get why u ppl say tommy ruin the song.. i play music for years and what he did was only genius. unless u are saying you can do better .

  • @DevilBoyz88 Ive been playing music for also and I will list why Tommy Emanuel ruined this song

    1. He spent easily 50% of the time making stupid sound effects that a baby could make but just scraping the strings and banging on the body (fairly off beat at some points I might add).

    2. He spent the other 50% just playing flashy lead licks that would seem better served on an electric guitar in a Metallica gig.

    3. HE NEEDED TO TURN WAY DOWN! His volume destroyed the mood and blew out the other guys

  • playing music for *years* also
