@megaangryperson In the UK you need to be able to prove you play Airsoft regularly to buy a realistic coloured gun. This is usually done by becoming a member of you local site and registering with the UKARA scheme.

If you do not have this proof, then you have to buy a gun that is at least 50% brightly coloured, like the blue gun you see in this video.

Hi there scout i wouold just like to ask how many skirmage games do you have to play in order to get an imitation firearm ? i have the jg blue mp5 which can be changed to black if you get registration to the vcra but im not over eighteen infact im only 14 is there any way about this ?

@madme93 IIRC you need to be 18 to register with the UKARA, but I think a site membership passes as a defense so if you can get one of those you can re-spray/have your gun resprayed. To register under the UKARA scheme you need to play three games in at least two months.

Unless you're using some POS clear springer from WalMarts or Dicks, you really should be using .2s as a bare minimum

I fav'd this because I have totally been there. Also, thanks for clearing up the colored gun mystery. I've seen alot of videos where people will have bright green/blue/red guns and I was wondering why that is. I live out in California where we don't have to color our guns but we have to have "At least 6 inches of bright-orange on the muzzle of the gun."

Scout, i've been watching many of your videos. Im just jealous because that Airsoft field is a Forest while ours is an Abandoned Factory. By the way, what is the legal age to play airsoft at Scotland. Im 12 years old. I use a JG Thundermaul . Is it good? And i hear you have a son who likes to play airsoft. I know the feeling coz i negotiated my mom to buy my first gun. A Thompson M1A1. I subbed 2 u man.

Well since I know that scout doesn't like answering airsoft question...

The thundermaul is probably a standard JG AEG...not stellar but it'll perform well if you take care of it. The real gripe I have about the thundermaul is that it's uglier than a rat's ass...mechanically it's probably fine though.

JG is a perfectly fine brand, but I'd definitely steer you towards a gun that is based on a real-world model.

Scout, thank you for the pleasure of these videos. I just ordered a new gun and im kind of new at the sport and these videos helped me out so much in the selection. These videos give all those that watch them the urge to go out and play even if they play on a regular basis or not. I hope that as more people see these videos, that the sport will continue to grow and it will be seen as more of a sport and not kids running around with guns.

its not a definate fps u will be getting with tht money it depends on the gun u get u just gotta look for a good deal try n shoot around 400 fps but and here in america tht usually prices anywhere around $120-200 but i dont kno the currency difference to where you live so hope it helps

If your friend is on a budget, he can get a jg m4. An m4 is smaller than a m16 and it can use hi-cap mags. Hope that helps.

From what I understand about it, once you play at a skirmish site so many times, you can then become a registered skirmisher which enables you to buy the proper looking replicas.

I have the cyma cm.028 ak47, and its pretty good if youre on a tight budget. Its accurate if you know how to aim with the sights; just be careful about which site you order from and dont listen to the manuel (obviously).

uk thy dont have red tips they have it two toned its easier to tell its a toy.

unless you are registered with UKRA (i think thats what is is) as a regular skirmisher and you can paint your gun whatever color yyou like

As long as it's a JG, yes. If you're buying an MP5, I'd recommend the CYMA. I've got the 041J and I love it. Metal body with good performance and is now available in blowback. :)
