Lost my weim, Mongo, after having her for 14 years, 11 months, and 18 days. I miss her so much. I still have her collar and sometimes I pick it up and hold it and tears fall from my eyes. Best dog ever. As soon as my job situation is stable I'm going to get two! Wonderweims, out of St. Louis has some great rescues that need forever homes.

im very sorry to hear about your lose. i am sure your dog knows that you loved him/her. i had a weim and a german short haired pointer and i had to put them both down in 2005. it was pretty hard. they are just beautiful dogs. i wish you the best my friend.

Gorgeous! For Grolsch09, I grew up in a family with Weimeraners and they were always great with us. You would probably have to be a little bit careful with a 4 year old child as they can be quite enthusiastic and rough when playing and they don't stop playing when they stop being puppies! But most of the ones I've known have been a bit more careful around smaller kids, and they certainly aren't usually aggressive.

Ours is a little clumsy but very good natured. My only worry would be that the dog could easily knock the child over by accident. There's certainly no problems with aggression.

@bquax is clumsiness a common trait with wiemies? cause ours is such a clutsy goofball.. if we don't catch him in time he'll run so fast sometimes and manage to fall UP the stairs... haha even at 10 he's gets so energetic it's painful to watch sometimes haha.. like watching my 60 year old mom go skiing. your just like "oh god, oh god, don't fall your old and gonna hurt yourself!!"

@Grolsch09 not at all, this is one of the best family dog. My weimaraner is 3 years old and has never growled or shown aggression towards any humans. But they are very hyper and you would have to find a good way to remove all that energy. =) but i HIGHLY recommend this breed for any one! the best dog I've ever owned and i love it.

The best! my niece grew up w/ my dog. funny thing is you cannot do anything to her if he is around. lol when she get into trouble, & needs to be corrected he do the puppy dog eyes thing and stands next to her like..."she will be a good girl i promise, please no time out". it is so sweet how he protects her

@Grolsch09 very good with kids. no joke. even tho they can be very clumsy and very energetic they r so good with kids. when I introduced my Weim with my bfs niece I thought the first thing my weim was gonna do was, run over the baby but he proved me wrong. My weim just sat there looking straight at her..letting her grab his big ears.. He was so good that it made mamma real proud (me). He would fallow the baby around and wouldn't leave er sight at all. this breed is the best!:)

You have inspired me to make a tribute slideshow to my Weim, Cairo. I lost him prematurely to an auto-accident last Nov. Not a day has gone by that I do not tear thinking about him. Weims are great dogs, they stand by you, fiercely loyal and protective. I miss Cairo.

hey i just got a weim puppy, abt 10 days back..... named him "bingo", he is 2 months old...... m feeding him on eukonuba...... he is super active..... the only prob is to make him settle down..... he just dsnt listen ....... always keepn on jumping and running..... :)

I just had to put my 4 month old weim down because he was very very ill. He was never overly active so, please, appreciate your bumbling little boy. I am actually a little jealous. I would have much rather dealt with rambunctiousness than what I had to go through.

You just export the film directly to YouTube from iMovie, all settings are done for you and it's optimised for the net. Very easy. The whole movie took only 10 mins to make including editing and uploading.

In a word, difficult. One on one personal coaching with a personal dog trainer helped a lot for both the dog and ourselves. The breed is both intelligent and strong willed making for some trying times.
