None of the original band members are still in the band now. Travis was the last remaining original member. But Matt took over being the leader after the original singer left. You can tell that he has the "leader" archetype, very thoughtful and intelligent,anyways.

@Langtw Matt and Travis started the band. with a different bass player and it was just them 3. then Paolo replaced the bassist and they wrote ETI. Then during the tour, they found Corey. I know this is true because I saw a Trivium ad in my Guitar World magazine promoting ETI and it had a picture of Travis, Matt, and Paolo on it. Matt recorded ETI when he was only 16. Before that, Matt and Travis played together in high school. and Matt isn't a "leader", just another member of the band.

@xwolbx I don't think so, it was Travis, Brent and some other guy. Paolo wasn't in the band until Ascendancy. In the Like Light to the Flies vid(which was recorded before ascend), it's Corey, Matt , Brent and Travis. This was after ETI.

sadly the show i went to had a fucked-up PA for Trivium (even though Maiden was great live) so it seemed like trivium sucked, but they are such a cool band and so famous for their live show it must have just been the band's sound on that night maybe cos of the mix or whatever.

I'm not a Dean hater and I'm not looking to stir up another Dean hate session but they're getting bad. I know people with older Deans and they swear by the guitars and all of their guitars, the older Deans, play great and are amazing, newer Deans are a pathetic joke compared to them. Also everyone says that the Deans kept breaking on Matt and Corey which seems like a reason to leave. I agree though WhoTF cares as long as the music is still good.

les paul is still six string look on 1:22 the neck looks way to small to be 7 strings and on 1:04 you can see the tuners are 3 on each side :o
