@Muggshotter lol haha, yeah I feel you there. But man, Telac is good with Hwoarang, actually the best Hwoarang player I've seen so far. Not even the locals here ain't par to his skills.
Good matches, your Jin's pretty good. And that Hwoarang player was good as well. Not to sound like a jerk, but you gotta start low parrying those LFS d+3,4 RFS d+4,3s
That's what I tried... I think. I was having hard time telling what was the next kick in line. But then again, I don't get to play against Hwoarangs that often. I'll have to try and learn a counter for his stuff though.
Damn Hwoarang and his Flamingo dances, gonna shove up an ostrich's ass into that one day and make the spiky hair go around.
@Muggshotter Ahh I see, don't have too much Hwo matchup experience. That's what I assumed was the problem. I would offer to help give you some experience, but online hates me for Tekken lol
@Spartan257B AFAIK you can't fuzzy guard between RFS d+4 and RFS df+4, so I really would not recommend random ducking strings. Side steppint is rather effective; RFS df4 can be stepped to both directions, sweep, however, does track. So the real mixup in there is actually a tracking launcher vs. non-tracking launcher. Problem here, from hwo point of view, is that you can both ss and block the sweep so you have to resort to using d+4,3.
Low parrying is not a bad idea, but generally stepping
@Spartan257B is safer. Same goes for the mid spam (lfs 3~fxN). when you interrupt it with jabs, you risk the chance of CH f3~3, which yields ~70 damage. When you crouchjab, you risk the chance of HH, which yields ~70 damage as well. When you sidestep, you can get a free launcher and pretty much risk nothing (other than f4, which tracks to one direction and sweep).
@Telacable I play Hwo myself, so thx for the bit about the sweep tracking I was unaware of that. I knew sidestepping was effective as well, but I'm used to my bud just low parrying me when I try that, he's insane lol low parries me on reaction. I'll be sure to try out sidestepping though if I'm ever in a Hwo mirror.
