@ScienceProjek I beg to differ, but everyone has there own opinion. This is Liz being great at writing a cool hook...and there's nothing wrong with that. Just sayin'.
Just reminds me of the sound that she carried with her throughout 90% of her career. (1998 Whitechocolatespaceegg) "Polyester bride", (The 2003 Self-Titled Album) "Favorite (Underwear)", Most of (2005's Somebody's Miracle) and 2010's "Satisfied" from Funstyle. She's started her career in 1993, She has now 6 albums and this song is remeniscent of songs on all of her albums throughout her career. So...
@madeyes4u Yes, "Polyester Bride"... The entire arrangement of the music and sound. Lyrically it's more like something from "Sombody's Miracle" or the 2003 Liz Phair album, But Musically it's what she's been doing. Even if it's just that one song off of WCSE (Polyester Bride), My point is that THIS SOUND is nothing new for Liz Phair.
This is the album's most commercial song, but lyrically it kind of tells my story atm... "I fell in love along the way, somewhere I couldn't stay. But it's nice to take a detour sometimes....... you want to be like me. I want to be like you." Thanks again, Liz <3
Now this is Liz.

@ScienceProjek It's funny how this sounds like something off of WCSE to you.
