  • JBL? wtf,xD!

  • Sid is the fucking man nuff said btw bradshaw had some huge tits thats just ridiculous lol

  • God I miss Sid!!

  • Oh My God, to scoop that Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw so far up, high on his shoulders was absolutely brilliant. That was awesome powerbomb. That was the GREATEST powerbomb that Sycho Sid has done. He was just too strong foe Bradshaw

  • Sid was amazing at drawing a reaction from the crowd and playing off the crowds energy..

  • I thought bradshaw was going to job to Sid but he got DQed

  • Bradshaw still have a fat ass

  • Thumbs up if you think Sid's return would get a bigger crowd reaction than the Rocks

  • @MillerBri66 No because the kids would not remember Sid..

Maybe if he returned in a city with good fans like New York or Chicago..

  • Who was the guy at 3:28 getting Powerbombed? Mick Foley? No way...

  • back then they didnt need to high pitch the cheering

  • sid is still the master of the universe

  • Sid is the fucking man! I got to meet him a few years ago with his family. Really nice dude! I asked him how tall he really was and he said 6'8. I'm 5'11 and he def had about 8-9 inches on me!

  • Vince really was an awesome announcer!!!!!

  • its absolutely amazing the pop sid gets from this crowd...its spectactular!! u couldnt get this kind of reaction if u combined all the raw's of the last 5 years...thats awesome!!! sid knew how to get that crowd into a frenzy!!

  • I hate when faces no sell, lawls!

  • Anywhere Sid goes,he always gets a crowd response.

  • Face or heel, Sid has always been one of my favorites.

I was watching when he shattered his ankle in WcW and have not seen him since.

Have read that he is wrestling again.

Wish he would make one more run in WWE before he retires.

  • @TheKasanth He's fighting in Arkansas for a local wrestling company last time I checked.

  • @TheKasanth He's healthy, in great shape, still wrestling - and of course a former WWF and WCW champion. It would make perfect sense for him to be one of the suprise veteran entrants in the Royal Rumble. Unfortunatly, WWE writers would rather include Hornswoggle or Eugene. No wonder their ratings and buy rates have been garbage for the last few years.

  • I forgot how awesome of an announcer Vince was. It's ashame he doesn't do it anymore. Also the fan pop for Sid is ridiculous.

  • @ramennoodlechef

    yes vince was the best!

  • @ramennoodlechef he puts muscle in his voice...but sid is just over the top. you can read his lips sayin "did someone said the man is here?!?!"

  • Watching this video makes me remember how much I LOVED wrestling when I was younger. The pop Sid's getting is insane.

  • side should return do u see how over he is even when the bad guy he still got fans and vince should be a announcer again he was good at it no lie

  • If he came out at the 2008 Royal Rumble in NYC the place would of erupted like a mofo

  • idea: CM Punk brings Sid in; Sid destroys Orton week after week, until a PPV (Summerslam, perhaps) and then the Legend Killer beats Sid. This way Sid gets a last WWE run, and puts over the young talent at the same time.

  • @datrux Didn't Sid pretty much destroy his leg when he was in WCW in a match against Big Poppa Pump? I wouldn't mind seeing Psycho Sid again though he was one big bad dude. He was better as a heel I think, that fucker just seemed like the craziest most pissed off sombitch ya ever saw.

  • @BradNC11175 Sid was only good when he came out and destroyed people. I'm not really sure if that would be classified as a traditional heel though. He didn't need a storyline - just jobbers to powerbomb and chokeslam. WCW missused him by making him a face. Supposedly his leg is completely healed (shit, that was 10 years ago when he broke it)

  • @datrux Yeah your right because that was not long before WCW tanked. I don't know what kind of relationship Sid had with Vince, of course that has everything to do with anything there. If he and Vince had a rocky history you know how that would work: they'd bring Sid back and sooner or later make him look like a fool. Thats what happened with Road Warrior Hawk and several others. The WWE needs more big bad ass guys these days something serious though. To many pretty boy fairies now.

  • @datrux Orton? Over? Young? Orton already is worse than Cena ever was.

  • @ThemeIshere Orton is bad, but he isn't Super-Jesus like Cena. And is he even 30 yet? he's still young. But who else would Sic logically put over? Kofi Kingston or John Morrison? BWAHAHA In Vince's head, Cena and Orton are the future of company for the foreseeable future. Regardless of what the fans say, think or want.

  • @datrux The thing is, Vince knows what works. He might not care what the fans think, but he knows what they will watch. Being PG is cheaper than being TV-14. If he thought fans would boycott WWE and never watch it, he wouldn't have done it. Yeah wrestling fans hate it and complain but have they really done anything about it? When WWE actually starts losing viewers and money, they'll change.

  • @lionslicer9999 They've been losing money and viewers at a steady clip for awhile now.

  • @TheWarrior2Game7 So has TNA... And many other wrestling promotions that have some type of TV deal. Wrestling is at a down point, and WWE has been up recently, 2008 was its worst year, so they must be doing something right obviously. Unless its like a huge plummet in the ratings, Vince is winning. If its only going down slowly, its just the wrestling industry taking a hit as a whole, the ratings will go back up in a year.

  • sid was really over

  • Wow, I forgot how good McMahon was at calling matches. He should do guest announcing once in a while

  • damn man. sid was freakin over!

  • Whatever happened to JBL after being a commentator. Is he done with werestling?

  • @sarasara861 he returned to wrestling late 07 and retired again in 09 at wrestlemania 25...he came back on raw monday but i think it was one night only

  • WOW, Sid was OVER with this crowd.

  • SID IS UNSTOPPABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SID was one crazy mother you know what haha. At Wrestlemania he looks in to the camera and says 'do to others what they would do to you, but do it first'...Classic

  • People can say what they want about Sid as a person or as a preformer but no one can denie that he had the best look EVER in Wrestling Period. He looke like a greek god with his size, hair and his Intimedating face

  • @ecwecwecw1 oh yeah, no costume, make up, etc. still my favorite. he would make randy orton blink in a staring contest. THE MAN IS HERE!! you can read his lips sayin' "did someone said...the man is here?!".

  • @francoisgrenier Exactly. I mean Ric Flair says this guy wasn't over. That's B.S. If you see the reactions he got in the early WCW days and during this period in the WWF. People were rapid for this guy.

  • @ecwecwecw1 i aint gay or nothin', but you're right. sid was magnificient!!! i always liked the fact that he didnt have any sketchy costume too. my chidlhood favorite was the ultimate warrior until i stopped reading comics and grew a pair of balls, haha. sid is pure manhood, period.

  • @francoisgrenier Haha. I'm not gay either.

  • God I miss Sid

  • i fucking love vinces classic announcing

  • best monster gimmick leagues above big show and kane

  • SID IS THE RULER OF THE WORLD!

  • i always loved Sid's hysterical laugh & smile he does @ 3:47

  • Jerry Lawler at 3:50 "As Jake 'The Snake' would say, he's about 3 beers short of a 6 pack"

    McMahon: "What?"

  • @ProteusKemo Rofl i love when the whole "what" thing says it happends too much

  • I wish would come back and beat the shit out of todays garbage like The Mizz and stuff.

  • Funny to see how Bradshaw tried to be Stan Hansen back then.

  • Bradshaws name was John Hawk in GWF..he's about 300 lbs in this match...not a small guy by any means

  • JHB

  • OH MY!!! Did JBL just do what I think he did? DAMN, WWE, why can't something like this happen?!?

OH MY! Vince's commentary is priceless and the crowd is on their feet!!!!!!

  • Wow, this was pretty exciting. We NEVER see this in WWE now.

  • Sid brings the crowd! Almost in a ECW way.

  • man he was over big time here

  • The best versionf

    that I saw of Sid

    was on WCW,

    anyway this is good material.

  • bradshaw been fat lol

  • @MrPhon1984 You're right he was lean and mean. You'd NEVER see a smile on his face he'd always have a WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU LOOKING AT? look but as he started getting older he became fat and jolly. He ACTUALLY started to really meow out.

  • The crowd went mental!!!

  • WWE glory days......sigh. Please pick him up TNA

  • Sid was so over because he had something that sooooo many wrestlers lack these days - CHARISMA! He hits that entrance way, and the place comes alive with electricity! Not to mention, he had power to spare, and could go up against any other big man.

  • Amazing! how could the WWE let a guy like this go?

  • @dalgamouni Vince probably looked at Sid's legs and thought that they might break..

  • @NWpowerhouse85 lol i c wat uv dun there

  • @dalgamouni Dude WWE dose a lot of thing that make little or no sense to me lol

  • @dalgamouni repeated injuries are a reason why sid isnt doing mainstream wwe/tna now. like his classical leg break, pnctured lung, etc. he cant be full time.

also, hes my all-time favorite old school wrestler. but hes 50 now...

but he still got it, the crowd always goes nuts for him.

  • @francoisgrenier actually if u look at the interview they had with sid recently he is back and weightlifting again.... He said he didnt care if it was WWE or TNA he wants to come back but its up to them if they want him ... I would die if he came back he was my favorite of all time... In person it was sooo loud you couldnt even hear his music the crowd loved him soo much I know hes 50 but who cares look at ric and hogan lol even if he came and kicked the shit out of wade barett.

  • @dalgamouni : He wanted to go play softball.........yeah. That's the exact reason. Floored me too.

  • @dalgamouni injuries

  • @dalgamouni JBL wanted to retire

  • @dalgamouni It's because he got injured in a car accident in mid 1997 and became deathly ill to the point where the WWF had to let him go since they were becoming strapped for cash at that point. It's too bad really because he left at a time when the WWF needed top notch wrestlers like him to carry the load until they could build up Steve Austin enough to be champion.......

  • @dalgamouni They had the "Hitman", "HBK", "Stone Cold", Ken Shamrock, and The "Undertaker"--plus Kane was on the way, so they probably just didn't care as much as they should have unfortunately.

  • Okay, this shouldn't be titled Sid vs JBL. He was Justin Hawk Bradshaw back then

  • Damn, those people fuckin' LOVED Sid!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Lots of idiots criticize SID a lot, mostly those who enjoy garbage like cruiserweight wrestlers, but no cruiserweight can ever come anywhere close to SID's popularity.

  • sid vs justin hawk bradshaw.

  • I remember this MNR. Undertaker Tombstoned Steve Austin for the first time that night.

  • never noticed JBL went from Fat JHB to inshape bradshaw and back to fat when JBL

  • JBL USED TO LOOK AWESOME WITH LONG HAIR

  • Not many wrestlers can get a pop like sid. I would go as far as saying the only pop bigger than this one would be hogans pop for his hof induction.

  • I want Vince's ass kicked badly for firing SID and bringing back all the crap from scott steiner to CM punk in the past 12 yrs but not bringing back SID.

  • Vince could care less if you want to kick his ass or not. No offense, but it would be a dream to have Vince's ass not only kicked but ravaged by a razor blender. Vince replaces what people want to see with what he wants them to see. Its about manipulating what people "should see" and not what they really want to see. Sure he'll throw in what they really want to see but he'll also pitch them the bullshit he wants to drag into peoples throats. Vince is about mind control and self gratification

  • Overall beware of people like Vince McMahon because in this so called free COUNTRY we are not free of these egomaniac psyhcopath businessmen. Theyre all around you. If you have a boss like McMahon, quit your job as soon as possible. McMahon was honest about who he is when he got his character involved in wrestling show biz-I'll give him that. Wether it was unintentional or not it was certainly unexpected for McMahon to be open about the kind of assholes people like him really are in "SOCIETY"

  • @Famadeus101 In fact, Sid actually got the bigger ovation during the six man tag match that also included Shawn Micheals at the IN Your House PPV the night before

  • SID is a monster

  • Thumbs up if u think SID is the shit!!

  • @blancoynegro04

These 220 pound wrestlers in the WWE today would be jobbers to Sid.

  • @blancoynegro04

where is sid now?it would be awesome taker vs sid next mania

  • @blancoynegro04 Sid is awesome in here and most of his WWF appearances. But against Goldberg in WCW he was totally eclipsed and overpowered.

  • That guy with Bradshaw looks like Phil from the Hangover :)

  • Ah, back before Bradshaw had a personality. I'd love to see this match now. The Longhorn Powerbomb vs. Sid's "Kill You Dead" Powerbomb.

  • Nitro didn't lead the ratings bcoz of the nWo

    not bcoz of cruiserweights

    not bcoz of Roddy Piper

but bcoz of Vince's commentary on RAW.

  • fuk jbl's boring ass, SID all the way!

  • @INDuLg3dXSIN

That's why I didn't understand how JBL got that push recently.

  • That's Dutch Mantle right?

  • Sid vs. Kane!! Noww WWE!

  • sycho sid would tear bradshaw a new asshole.

  • Hahahahaha - JBL the jobber!

  • @WeNeedSomeGolfShoes

i also find it funny that you would say think about what you say next time you want to get your FACTS wrong and look like a moron because youre the one with all the wrong facts and are the one looking like a moron. you have 2 choices here, either respond and continue to look like an idiot, or you just dont bother responding because you finally figured out how dumb you are. looks like youre the one with shit for brains.....lol, idiot

  • @WeNeedSomeGolfShoes

man, i hate ppl who can't read. i said hold the belt so much more than sid would. never did i say more times. perhaps you can find a first grader to read what i said to you so youre not so confused. and where i come from 280>97. if you cant find a 3rd grader to decipher what 280>97 means i'll tell you. it means that 280 days is MORE than 97 days.

again i say, god i hate dumb ppl

  • @radicalman33

i also find it funny that you would say think about what you say next time you want to get your FACTS wrong and look like a moron because youre the one with all the wrong facts and are the one looking like a moron. you have 2 choices here, either respond and continue to look like an idiot, or you just dont bother responding because you finally figured out how dumb you are. looks like youre the one with shit for brains.....lol, idiot

  • @WeNeedSomeGolfShoes

god i hate dumb ppl. sid held the belt for like waht 2 months the first time, then just over a month the second time. JBL held the belt for like 9 months, longest title reign in nearly 10 years. next time you plan on commenting know what your talking about so you dont look like an idiot

  • Dutch Mantell's incredible MUSTACHE won that match. Not even Hogan, Sheiky or Joey Ryan can compare to that monster. I'm shocked it never received a title run.

  • would anyone guess at this piont that bradshaw would hold the title so much more than sid would. hell, anyone guess that bradsahw would ever become champion?

  • I felt bad for Jerry Lawler back then. Every single time he said someone couldn't do something, he gets proven wrong within five seconds.

  • SID,SID, SID, SID,SID,SID

  • WWE is not the same anymore...

  • why were the crowd so much behind sid despite the fact that he was a heel?

  • @owaisinus Sid was a face. They tried to turn him heel at survivor series by having him use the camera but he ended up being the heel everyone was cheering for even when he faced bret.

  • Surprised that Bradshaw was protected here with the DQ loss -- he was a total jobber in 1996 as his Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw character, even jobbing to people like Freddie Joe Floyd. Sid should have squashed him here.

Nice bump from Dutch Mantel after the match.

  • For anyone who said Sid never drew or wasn't a 'good worker' needs to watch this video and how pumped the fans were for him

  • Just listen to that crowd (example: 3:27). Insane popularity. And Sid did it on his own, without a massive push or constant promos, Time Square ads or concentrated company support. Awesome Sid.

  • I agree. I was just about to blog the same thing. You hit it right on the point.

I wish WWE would stop faking on Sid and Owen, and put them both in the Hall of Fame.

  • @iAMcooooooool That's because he ruled the World!

  • Bradshaw had the same body shape when he retired

  • In real life, JBL would beat the living crap out of Sid.

  • @GlorifiedTruth Haha! not a chance

  • @GlorifiedTruth Nah, Joey Styles (ECW announcer) nearly knocked JBL out with a punch in real life. So I doubt he could beat Sid.

  • what year was this?

  • amazing how popular he was!!

  • Fans just dont get this excited anymore cause of the crappy roster they have now .Specially in smackdown everytime they cheer, its very faint and sounds like just women cheering while this is lots of aggressive fans cheering cause they're actually excited and not forcing it just to be part of a tv show.

  • marking out like apes the entire match.

    fucking classic.

  • I wish they'd bring that old Raw set back

  • HBL b4 he was well knowen.

  • you mean JBL

  • yea it was a typo

  • The ONLY heel that can have a pop like dat!! Itz amazin how Rock, & Stone Cold culd pull off the heel segment & get pops bt this is one of the Best

  • SID is a GOD. Taker or hardly anyone else with the exception of Austin never had fans jumping up and down waving their arms like crazy for him. To get pops even close to this, Taker dissappears every two months and makes a comeback. Its like he works part time for the wwe. Im sure he'll dissapear once again when he loses the smackdown belt.

  • Sid is "a" God?

No, no. Sid IS GOD HIMSELF!!

  • Isn't Dutch Mantell Sid's friend???

  • SID is StraitUp The Most Domminate Wrestler and Figure Ever in Wrestling.Guys Like Undertaker and Kane and Khali Dont match the POWER of SID.

  • hell not even hogan can take on sid

  • @RealHipHopTunes Yes Hogan can but it'll be a match for the ages..

  • @RealHipHopTunes the only man who can take him is undertaker

  • @kazama8989 yep yep

  • @RealHipHopTunes Yeah, he only beat him by DQ.

  • @RealHipHopTunes Hogan did take on Sid, and he kicked out of his chokeslam and his powerbomb, and ultimately won the match..

  • khali is fuckin wack, boring to watch, and the mufucka can't even speak ENGLISH...well they dont let him

  • Yeah and he fits right in with boring PGWWE.

  • man if only goldberg did that to jbl!

  • jbl......lol no......jhb lol

  • The line up 4 Raw that nite was Taker vs. Austin N the main event. Plus Vader vs. Marc Mero, HBK, Mankind, & the Wrestling God vs. The Ruler of the World.

  • 0:46 "No wonder all these moronic fans like Psycho Sid - they're all brainless"

Remember when Jerry Lawler used to insult the fans? Too bad now he just sucks up to them like every commentator. "Bad Guys" make better commentators!

  • Well, duh.. all pro-wrestling is, but it's still entertaning and fun :P

  • this man is amazing i like him because he is so pyscho wwe must bring him back as manger or anything eles that will doing huge impact

  • this match is actually a rare classic..most fans of today dont know about this..they be kinda shocked

  • Ya don't hear crowd reactions like this anymore, not even for "Super Cena"...only one that comes close is 'taker and maybe HBK

  • Yeah might as well be called "Super Cena" since he didn't even limp or anything after his Hell in a Cell match. Hell, he even ran to the ring. At least Punk put over his match with Taker by limping to the ring a few days later.

  • yeah i know... not to mention that a HIAC match is normally no good without some blood or at least a sick cell bump

  • @kdragon18 the only option for vince to hear this type of chants....which is let Ricky Stamboat bakc to wrestle and put him to match against either Taker or Shawn Michael

  • @kdragon18 sid isnt even a good wrestler, but i would give anything for a comeback. hes just so mean!!!!!!! no costume makeup necessary. funny thing, when he was young, he didnt look so bad, its only when i got 30-40 years old that he looked like a psycho.

  • @francoisgrenier depends on what you consider good, the man is near 7'0 feet so for his size he was decent. And his pops were incredible. MAn.

  • @kdragon18 yep, hbk or taker. "super cena' aka steven segal aka super no feel pain cena sucks.

  • @kdragon18 super cena gets boos and echos when he comes out but wwe edit it for television viewers

  • Sid had some of the wildest punches and kicks ever, but it kind of went with the erratic "Sycho" gimmick.

  • i like when sid do this he is very angry here 0:19

  • listen to Vince commentating, it's awesome him, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross should commentate on Raw

I heard Scott Hall wants to give WWE another shot, they might have him commentate on Raw too

  • LOL hall can barely talk let alone commentate but it would be nice to see him back in one way or another

  • Awesome?

I think you mean Awful, it always sounds like he's speaking out of his nostrils, his voice is that bad when calling matches.

  • It's also annoying to hear Jim Ross's voice and Jerry Lawlers awful laugh, Michael Cole also has a very annoying voice and Don West but at least they are good at doing their job, they can call matches really good because they know about moves etc.

  • Sid rarely gets mentioned these days. He was the equivalent to Lesnar in those days. I remember his match against Hogan at WM. It was almost like watching a squash match, after the first 2-3 minutes. Even Taker needed Bret Hart's interference to beat him at WM. Damn that dreadful injury.
