Im in 2 leagues, been bowling no thumb simce the start with a 168 average in both leagues and a 263 high. This style is very consistant with most oil patterns

when i bowled thumb-in in league this year i averaged about 90, now my average is in the 130's after just a couple months of bowling no thumb and i shot a 244 and a 600 series. i practiced doing to the 2-handed style today and got in the 170's and i've never even tried it before.. then i bowled a game thumb in just for the heck of it and got 110

I'm left handed and I tore my left forearm muscle in an accident. While I was wearing a brace for three months I started playing around with this same technique just reversed to the left hand side. I'm halfway through my first league and I have a 193 avg. This throwing style is great because you can easily adjust ball speed, lift, and revs.

Belmo uses 2 hands when he throws plastic. Either at a full deck or just a corner pin. Whatever makes you feel most comfortable for your style.

@2mreatme sure u can throw plastic but if u cant keep a strong ball on the right side of the head pin two handed u got to make so big changes or dont bowl 2 hands. im a 2 hander my rev rate is right around 450 and i can play up the lane with a strong ball or wheel the lane. no matter if u are two handed or one u need to be able to control and alter your revs and tip

bowling with 2 hands is bttr it gives you more revolution on the ball so its curves bttr and it makes the ball go faster because of ur two hands which if u can beleive it gives u more force then a 1 handed shot

its far easier to bowl with 1 hand! if u start with the ball @ chest level, push it straight out as u take ur 1st step gravity is used 2 create a pendulum effect, the slide is used to transfer the gravity pulling the ball down, into forward momentum, and the lift of the fingers on release controll spin, this is all done with the entire body being used as a fulcrum, this 2 handed shot is all shoulder and back, and will cause major physical problems over time! if it works 4 him more power 2 him!

These people that are stuck in the 60's with bowling think you can only bowl well with three fingers in the ball, one handed, and a normal approach. Do whatever works for you. If you bowl well 2 handed, then do it. If you only want to use 2 fingers then do it....

I bowled in a league for the first time in my life last year.  A guy on another team hated us bc we were all thumbless bowlers. We all bowled for one season, and at the end of the year, our handicap was lower than theirs.

I used to bowl with 2 hands, loved it had 200+ avg, then my coaches banned me from doing it and it was tough learning to use one hand. I currently ave in the 190's single handedly. Last night though i was with my friends and I decided to bowl a game 2 handed and i scored 223 ;)

If he can play with two hands let him play with two hands, I personally have tried it and I find it hard, were as my mate i bowl with can do it easily, I think it suits certain people, I dont thinks its unfair or anything, the person is bowling what ever way is more comfortable to them, how I spin with one hand my be uncomfortable with a two handed bowler.

I am just getting into bowling, just got my own ball and i find its A LOT easier to put hook on the ball two handed than one handed. I also pick up twice as many strikes than before. So everybody has their own way of bowling that works for them.

ok agreed the music sucks but i wish people would leave two handed bowling alone have you actually ever tried it? you still have to practice and perfect your own style with it. the fact is two handed bowlers get much higher revolutions than 1 handed bowlers. but there are downsides to it as well just like any other style. personally im a one handed bowler but my style doesnt invole huge revolutions just high accuracy and speed with constant wrist control. its all about how you feel comfortable.
