Why do they wrap the tattoo like that? Is it to keep it fresher when you put it in the fridge? Haha jk :p Ha no but is it to keep the color in/ and not have the white blood cells cover it over?

The plastic wrap on the finished tattoo is kind of old school, but a bad idea. It traps bacteria and increases the risk of infection. Regular gauze and Vitamin D ointment is the ticket.

My 2 cents.

The tattoo looks good, though.  Congrats.

Actually this was twice as much as the original tattoo, which 12 years ago was just the panda on its own. It barely met the $50 minimum. I then had the sun, bamboo & waves added a year or two later. This time he basically redid the entire tattoo & added another layer of bamboo, waves & leaves. It was an hour and $100.

When my son was born we called him "Cody Bear" that's where the idea for a bear came from, the panda was the cutest one I found.

I had the original panda by itself done when I was 18 without pre-thinking what I was getting. After 2 years I wanted to have a little more added to it, it was too dark looking & hard to make out. They added a sun and a couple waves & bamboo. Over time, its faded. So Josh recolored everything, added another layer of waves, leaves & bamboo. :)
