bah no. their old stuff was so emotional...cathartic even. it was so honest and identifiable and gave you a sort of satisfaction from witty lyrics and lovely slant rhymes and gorgeous songs like this. now theyve lost it in favor of a more stream of consciousness reflection on the dream that was prior: theyve lost the wondrous epiphany and honesty and sinceritythat theyve been known for in favor of bs pretentiousness and B.S Johnson. i appreciate gareth's intellectualism but the songsarebadnow.

but as an album, romance is boring is focused and i felt they had matured as musicians. everything from cello's, synths, bells, reccorders, vocal harmonies and many auxiliary parts.
