  • right on big pete and the suffering is coming

  • Dear Pete, I often think of you, now as a Patriot, but as One who fights for His values, for Democracy, for Liberty and the Pursuit of Hapiness, although these words might be just misunderstood and their meaning changed by fascists. Pete, your songs are like the Statue of Liberty's light, they show us the way.As a French guy, for whom the American Dream still means something, I'm saying out loud: Pete, we love you !

  • this reminds me a bit of 'we are the world' back in 1985 (though most of the celebrities here are a bit long in the tooth). what is needed is not so much the empathy of multi-millionaires, but great masses of people taking the law (and their future) into their own hands. when they do that, their chances of taking their country back will dramatically increase. and what's more, they will have earned the respect of the elites; not their love (which isn't worth much anyway), but their respect....

  • "I put some onions, inside my trousers....this log was made into a tree."

  • It's cool that even though Pete didn't compose "This Land Is Your Land" he will always be associated with that song. This man is living history!

  • Pete the Red Dragon!

  • I have known, read, heard, listened about Pete for 50yrs - recenty listed most of what hes done and was amazed

  • America owes a great debt to Pete, he has fought harder than anyone to keep America free, and unfortunately our free country paid him back by telling what he could and could not say. The government acted in an incredibly unconstitutional manner with the HUAC trials, we are all incredibly lucky that Pete didn't give up through all of this.

  • Pete Seeger has influenced music and musicians more than Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, The Beetles and Michael Jackson combined. He is the essensce of Song and Music. 90 years old and still singing and playing the banjo. Where can I get more of Pete and his life?

  • Check out Pete Seeger: The Power of Song. It's been shown several times on PBS during fundraisers.

  • Pete has always been one of my inspirations. His humanity and gentleness is timeless.God bless you Pete.

  • Amendment 15 - Race No Bar to Vote. Ratified 2/3/1870. History

    1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.

    2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

  • I had heard of Pete Seeger, but didn't know much about him. I watched a little bit of this on PBS and saw so many musicians I admire and love. Here's to you and all of them. I love the U.S., I love the Constitution, May the same respect and love that Pete embodies come to us all before the hatred betrays us all.

  • Pete Seeger is a true American patriot, thank you Pete

  • mr seeger played at my house when i was ten or eleven years old. i didn't realize his significance then but i still thought he was amazing. first time i ever heard the banjo played live

  • Happy 90th Birthday Pete.

  • What an awesome guy
