1. if you can't afford to lose it, don't fly it.

2. have friends

3. always have freids on back up if your in null sec.

4. always have friends

5. NEVER fly cap ships alone like this guy.

6. last but not least always have friends

@wackoxjackoisdead: Not very time consuming at all. But it is sort of a "long-term investion". But opposed to WoW and other MMOs, you don't need to be online for your skills to avance, you buy a skillbook, then train that skill first to level 1, then to 2,3,4 and 5.

JDMRacerclan: Sorry, I clicked Remove instead of Reply on your comment. Anyways, neither of the things you see is emitted from the carrier. The blue flashing thing indicates that the carrier is being webbed by one or several enemy ships. It can make the carrier slow down to almost full stop. The red beam you see is made by a NOS module on the enemy ship. In short, the NOS drains energy from the carrier.

People kinda forget or ignore the fact these ships are supposed to be huge, most of the ships you can clearly see are large battleship or higher class and none of them are going to win a race unless its against that Thanatos.

It's not slow. However a carrier is a very slow ship, and has a fuckton of HP, so it takes quite a while to kill it.

I just can't find the time anymore. Between family/house/garden, the gametime became very limited. And you need lots of gametime in EVE if you wanna PvP with your corp. For solo pvp or missions, it's fine just logging on and off...but that's not my cup of tea.maybe I'll sign up again in the winter, and see how it goes.

No. well, not entirely. When they enter Triage mode, they cannot be targeted, but IIRC cannot warp either. Motherships and Titans however, are immune, you can only tackle Supercapitals with heavy interdictors and bubbles.

When a carrier goes into triage it can get locked can be locked and killed, But it is immune to Ewar. Also you dont actually tackle the super capital with "Bubbles" The super cap actually bumps off the bubbles making it where it cannot jump or warp.

@Helge129 actually in triage they can be targeted but just gain immunity to all forms of electronic warfare and cant move, just like siege mode in a dread. But thats all due to the triage mod. the carrier its self is very much so able to be hit with all forms of electronic warfare (though to tracking disrupt one is for lulz or km whoring only lol)

@Jeff55369 No, Motherships are immune to all EW except 'Focused Interdiction Sphere Generators' mounted to heavy interdictors.

The only way a carrier can become invulnerable to EW is to enter triage mode, which prevens friendlies from remote repairing it.

Triage also prevenst movement and warp.

Basically: Carriers are still vulnerable.

@Helge129 falcon was on his side not jamming him. and even if he was jamemd he can still deploy fighters or any drone. they will auto aggro on anyone that attacks after he deploys them (or turns on something new). only reason I can think he didnt have them out..

1) he was afk

2) they were out and someone with aggro was warping around with them

3) he pulled them in hopes they would pop in his hold when he went boom minimizing the loot they win off him

Good question, I can't really remember what happened before I started recording. But his drone bay was full of drones and a few fighters according to the km. Also I noticed he had a corp mate in a Rook there, but he of course was popped long before :)

this is w/o the drone upgrade to allow more drones to be used.

no, what you're describing is a Nyx class super-carrier, this is a Thanatos class normal carrier, vulnerable to ECM, neuts, webs, scrams, and all other forms of E-warfare. And ridiculously easy to kill with a fleet (unless triaged)

I can confirm that it is genuine, one of my corp members got caught outside station and bumped away a good 150km, I learnt my lesson about these ex Tri guys about a year ago after spending an hour tanking my carrier, DDD and support fleet got me out before the wife killed me. I did undock this time in mine and warped to a pos but we were mostly in VFK at the time lol

Looks faked to me. The thanatos was moving a fairly good speed and was moving away from the station and that while he was going into structure.

he starts out close to the station and moves away from it who does that. Id say this was on on sisi test server where the webberfiers have been nerfed down to 50% hence why he moving so fast under one. if it was on the normal server the web would of been 80% - 90% and he would of been moving 15m/s to 23m/s.
